I'm sorry to say, but that's just pathetic. 1 pound?!?! Really?!?! Why not just forget about the catchweight since he has already established himself at that weight?

We also have a professional trainer here who was present for Margarito having his hands wrapped against his fighter, Kermit Cintron. He saw nothing, nothing out of the norm

I trust the truth is somewhere in-between the two normal extremes, but man, some people come off as ****ing ignorant when the topic comes up.

And no inspector has ever been paid off in the history of boxing, right?

And no inspector has ever failed to do his job properly, or been late, or whatever?

    Of course not !

    Man, are you naive.

Heck, all you have to do is watch that fight. Look at Margo's hand speed, Cotto's reactions to the blows, and Cotto's face at the end. 2 things contribute to a punch's power: Speed, and mass. - And Margo's punches have always been pretty slow. Do the math.

It seems like just a big **** you to Margarito. I think it will have little effect, and Cotto will win regardless.

Can't stop laughing. This is the funniest news I've heard in a long time. It's like hearing about a Gypsy celebrating immediately after getting a one cent discount for an item he plans to purchase.

Roach push for catch weight because they're trying to get something from the other guy which is mental advantage. Just like what Cotto's team is trying to do but when Team Pac ask below 147 it was just 2 pounds though it was Cotto's offer, Pac was coming from 140 unlike Cotto who's got a belt at 154. So it's more obvious what team Cotto is doing.

Will you still be calling him a cheat????

People argue to much about catchweights. Its not like there are official belts in these weight divisions. There are 5 champions in each weight class. Which is increasing all the time.

So i don't get why everyone is clinging on to the notion of sticking to the weight limits.

If 2 guys want to fight, let them negotiate the weight they want to fight at, then end the discussion there.

I think margarito will beat cotto again because workrate will be cotto's downfall as he can't keep up with fighters who throw alot of punches, but i hope margarito loses and loses bad the cheating git.

He is a cheat. Whether he was cheating during the Cotto fight has no bearing on the fact that his hands were getting wrapped with an illegal substance that hardens for the Mosley fight. That's just scientific fact.

The man is as dirty as OJ is guilty. That's just how it is.
