Margarito will hit Cotto with more power punches in the first 3 rounds, than were landed by Zab Judah and Shane Mosley in 23 rounds. This is primarily by default. Neither Judah nor Mosley landed a very high number of power shots on Cotto over the entire course of their fights, and those that were landed were spread incrementally from round to round in few numbers.

There will be no fouls in this fight. Both guys will keep it clean.

a fight too close to call. will start tactical the firsts couple of rounds then cotto will probably try to start opening up some more and getting countered.
hard to call it though given they both box good

Margaritos uppercut will be very effective vs Cotto not saying he wins but it will be his best punch in the bout. Cottos wide open in the center for them its one of his few flaws.

Margarito is gonna beat Cotto up, and knock him out somewhere in the middle to late rounds.

-In the 2nd round, Margarito will have Cotto in trouble in the first minute of the round...Jim Lampley will get dramatic...Cotto will fight out of it. He'll get out of the round okay and will be praised by all commentators for his courage and toughness. (THIS WILL BE EXACTLY like pavlik/taylor cept no KO)

-In the 8th round, Margarito will go down from cotto's relentless body attack...Depending on if hes in contention to win this fight at this point, he will decide whether he wants to continue.

-Miguel Cotto will look as good as ever (fitness and boxing wise)

-In the 12th round (if it gets there), both fighters will be wobbly at various points and the action will be as fast and furious as any of the preceding rounds...It will be billed as the round of the century although lampley will proclaim it the best, most exciting, most excuberating, most emotional, most dramatic, most intense, most critical, etc. etc. round in boxing history.

I have all the respect for marg, hes tough and gives a hell of a fight and thats what we'll get for 9 or 10 rounds when i see him badly hitting the canvas from too many clean shots.

To get the left hand in, Cotto will first need to get inside Margarito's jab. Cotto just can't lunge in thinking he won't get caught by the uppercut; he'll need to work his way, create angles and pick his moments before coming through the middle.

Pretty confident that Cotto will have the correct approach which is likely a controlled one.

He doesn't need the ko, shouldn't really go for it.
