    If these 2 guys put up the kind of show that many think they will, they will become huge draws over night. If you look at Castillo vs Corrales, both guys became draws and household names after that fight same deal with Gatti Ward etc. Fights that get talked about produce big numbers for the fighters down the line even if the fight iteslf tanks.

    Poor promotion ... TopRank hasn't been doing good with their more marketable fighters ... and they haven't promoted this fight like they should have.

    To get good numbers you have to put their faces out there ... put Cotto on ESPN FNF ... put Margarito on some spanish network sports TV shows ...

    PPV commercials ...

    i wouldnt say Castillo or Corrales were house hold names. They simply became bigger to boxing fans.

    I agree with you Walk with me ... Floyd would criticize both the fight numbers and the fighters.

    The thing is Floyd always got the best promotion. His best seller's fight were sold because of Hatton and DLH. And he still acussed HBO of racism. He is so full of ****

    judah spinks did 22k + becuase more then half the tickets were free and it in spinks home town.

    plus the fans were told they would get a free concert . Which they did it was about 10 min long which happened to be at the same time spinks was walking and wiggling to the ring:yep .

    floyd is a bigger draw then both cotto and margo combined . now if PBF fought Cotto AT MSG that would be insane

    The point is not if HAtton had a fan base in USA. The point is many americans bought it because of what the fight represented. The USA most famous champion against the UK most famous champion. It was the combination of factors what sold the fight

    but floyd flourishes once hes in that light..

    he talks alot of trash
    does alot of things that catch your attention

    basically makes people stop what theyre doing and either pay to see him ko someone or get ko'd

    margo might be a decent bad guy
    but we all know cotto would be boring as **** in a 24/7 besides watching his training

    Let Floyd had fought Margo, it would had not done well also. He is not a huge draw, only in Grand Rapids I think
