    bad promotion, nothing else....

nobody knew who the **** mayweather was either, but since oscar and millions of dollars were behind the promotion, look at the numbers it made.....

Bull****! PBF fought Baldo and did 350K in buys. To say no one knew him is a complete lie. Not to mention you act as if PBF had little or nothing to do with selling the PBF-Oscar fight.

proves that boxers need to talk ****. **** being classy, talking smack is a proven strategy to make more bank for boxers. most mega fights had one or both boxers running their mouth.

they were selling baldo, not mayweather...the whole cinderella story had dumb****s thinking baldo would actually win....

pbf's mouth did have a lot to do with it...but all you heard around town was "i hope oscar whoops that ******" , and thats the truth, even i was getting mad at how many people were disrespecting floyd not even knowing who he was :good

Exactly! People can bash PBF all they want but he can sell a fight. That nice guy **** doesn't do it anymore you need to have a personality in today's world.

The economy is screwing up ticket sales.

The gas price is unbelievably very high and every commodity's prices keeps moving up . . . people are trying to make both ends meet . . . so don't expect a lot to be spending money on boxing fights.

    who really gives a ****?

only sissy ass prima dona's would continue to use Cotto popularity against him at this point in time.... hes the obvious number one guy at welterweight and will be completely legit after he beats marg....

who are the popular fighters again in todays boxing in america??? i think i can count them on one hand... its not cottos fault its boxing in general, anyone who tries to use the 'popularity' card to get in a way of a fight when it comes to cotto doesnt belong in boxing

boxing is being perverted with this wave of prima dona thinking.... too many great fights, fights that NEED to happen, with top elites are not happening because of the popularity card now more then ever... its sick.

Okay smartass, who else in Boxing is capable of selling 55,000+ tickets fighting the Juan Lazcano's of the world? Floyd? Don't you wish. Not even Oscar could sell the 30,000 he anticipated for his fight Forbes and afterwards acknowledged that Hatton was the biggest draw in Boxing today. If he's not, then who is?
