I think it'll at least go the same distance as before, because Cotto, hopefully, would have learned a lot from the first fight and won't fall victim in the same manner. Margarito still wins, though. Too big and strong, and a horrible style for Cotto.
It goes the distance imo where cotto edges a close decision. 2 other options are margarito wins by similair stoppage or cotto stops margarito by targeting his weakened eye.
My only concern is that from Cotto's side is that he was doing a decent job in the first fight, and landed a ton of blows through the first 6 rounds and most of them seemed to be some clean, good, powerful shots, and not one of those punches seemed to slow down Margarito one bit. Concrete hands or not, that had nothing to do with his ability to walk through all of these punches. I think maybe if Cotto actually changes a little bit, and knows that he may not be able to KO Margarito, that may give him a better chance of victory. Maybe he can review the Mosley vs. Margarito tape and pick up some tips. I think if he's conditioned better, and follows the gameplan that Steward creates, victory could happen, maybe.
Cotto's been a bit more active and on better form over the past couple of years. Might take longer for Margario to begin to apply pressure and get to Cotto, and I think Cotto might be able to inflict more damage to a slightly shopworn AM in the interim. Cotto UD 12
How do you know that? Shane couldn't push Cotto around when they fought. The difference is that Shane would clinch or stop the action, smothering anything Tony planned on throwing. I see Cotto using a similar gameplan, but utilizing his jab.
