Cotto took an pretty bad beating, will he even be the same fighter. His fight with jennings wont prove anything really he should win that easily.

That fight will just build this fight more. Cotto did the best he could and still lost, I doubt he will come back an be better next time round. Margo knows he can hurt him.

 

Margarito beat his ass the first time no doubt.

But I think Cotto underestimated him a little bit in the first fight and he now knows how much sacrifice it will take to beat this guy and will come in better prepared and very very motivated.

The fight surely wont be won in the early rounds. Both men will have there moments just cant see cotto hurting margo at all. Cotto will need to go full 12 in this to win

 

Cotto was in the best shape of his life in their first fight, the proof is in how long he was able to last in the fight both throwing and catching alot of shots until his body just couldnt do it anymore.

There are no corrections that need to be made Cotto had the right fight plan he just didnt have the toughness to get him to the final bell and that is something you just cant go into a store and buy.

I hope Margo can beat Mosely which is not set in stone IMO, so that the fight can get made and we don't have to argue over forums anymore:good

 

You can not buy the ability to absorb shots the way Margo does you are right, but you can surely work on your defense and make that the priority instead of loading up on so many punches when you know you can not hurt someone like he did, you can also work on staying of the ropes.

 

Cotto is too open for uppercuts. I always felt that. i think Mosely could have beaten Cotto if he was aware that cotto was open to the uppercut.

Maybe Mosely just doesnt like throwing them. When he did they landed.

Margarito throws them at will , which is why I gave Margarito the edge the first time out.

Cotto has to be able to move his feet AND DUCK AND SLIP PUNCHES .
He cant just move around the ring , get stalked and stand agaisnt the ropes eating uppercuts. He used his feet although his footwork was mediocre kinda. And he had no real way of defending himself when agaisnt the ropes.
He has to have a much greater defense if he is to win a rematch.

 

Cotto would be more psyched up for it, he'd know what to expect and be ready for a tough fight. He underestimated Margarito last time, which is why he ended up losing, but this time he won't.

Cotto did not underestemate Tony last time, the evidence is in the weigh in, Cotto looked scared to death as if he were shitting on himself he knew exactly what he had gotten himself into.

 

What I remember from the weigh-in was that Margo looked like he belonged in a higher weightclass it looked like a MW vs JWW that how much of a size difference there was.
