I love the Sloppy Slob because he is currently in the process of clearing out his division. :good Someone close to you should be taking notes.
And this is exactly what every PBF Fan hates to read about Margarito, they hate to hear him get the praises he has gotten himself especailly when you consider all that Floyd has accomplished in the sport, Nobody is saying the same **** about Mayweather, nobody is saying he is a Warrior a destroyer etc.... The hate towards Margarito is not becuase people actually think less of Margarito, they just wish in their heart of all hearts, Floyd could be that kind of monster, they wished when they watched the fights that on monday they would hear at work what a great fight that was, I have to admit I would be upset myself if I went into work on Monday after talking up a good fight only to have my co workers ask me, Why did Tiger Woods leave so early in the fight, or what the hell was that bull**** you had me order. Margarito fans need not worry about hearing that **** comming back to work on Monday
PW cleared himself out by turning down an immediate rematch and lossing to Quintana while Margarito has moved on and made something of himself since, Paul had sat there just trying to make a career off Tony, he had his opportunity at a rematch and didnt want it, its too late to cry about that now.
If I go to work tomorrow and ask 100 ppl who AM is, at the most 7 of them will know who I'm talking about. If I ask those same ppl who PBF is, if not all 100 than at least 90 of them will know who PBF is. If I ask these same ppl if they seen Cotto vs AM, about 2 of them will say yes. If I ask them if they seen PBF vs DLH, around 50 of them will say yes.:deal
From a boxing standpoint yes, but it would take a lot of adjustments from the first fight. His movement was suspect and he didn't throw any right hands ... and when they're on the inside, Cotto needs to tie him up. Space is the key and so is effective, accurrate punching. Aside from all that based on what I seen in the first fight, I think that Margarito will win the second fight, even faster ... i think he'll press the issue early on and become more ruggedly aggressive.
its kind of hard to get a fair assesment at your job when you have huge PBF posters everywhere, beleive me I am sure your work enviorment knows the strange obession you have with Floyd. But in reality, I have talked boxing at my job and beleive it or not the people who do have an idea about boxing, know who Margarito is, and who mayweather is, and those guys have said, I wonder why Floyd didnt want to fight him, that guy on HBO said he turned down some millions of dollars to fight him. Beleive me and these were not Latinos or whites.
He's in the division that AM ran from because he didn't have the size advantage over all his opponents.
Margarito hasn't cleared of the division, but last year along with Floyd's retirement cleared some things up. We now know who the elitist are and we have a chance to get another welterweight champion. Margarito will have cleaned out the division with wins over Mosley and Cotto. (even though I don't think he can beat Mosley) With those two wins, he'd have beaten the top welterweights out there --
Okay Margarito ran from it, call it what you want, if Margarito is this big chicken then why is Floyd running from this ***** with 5 losses who has no skills no speed no defense???
It makes me wonder why Margarito hasn't taken another shot at 154 ... he's a 3 time champion at welterweight and is 0-1 at light middle ... there are some big names available there and maybe he can rack up some wins and make some money in the process. I wouldn't mind seeing a fight between Margarito and; Forrest, Wright, Mayorga, Williams, and Spinks.
Good post. On a similiar note i use to almost squirm with embarassment when friends and colleagues would say something like... 'So Floyd is WW champ and PFP1 and Cotto,Margarito, and Williams are nominally 2,3,4,....so he'll be fighting some or all of them at some point i guess....yes?' "Er,no"......Im feeling ashamed of the sport talking my way out of this one.
