Cotto would have won that fight. But this cheating ******* got what he deserved against Mosley

The whole point was Cotto couldn't hurt Margarito, got no respect from him, therefore was walked down and wore out.

    Margo UD or Late KO

This is a question I have pondered quite seriously, and now I am ready to comment on it.

It is clear to me that Cotto was feeling the effects of the concrete in Margarito's gloves, and so had to stay away from his trademark body work, because the cost of going inside and mixing it up with ol' Manos De Plaster was too high. So, if Margarito does not have an illegal advantage, Cotto either stops Margarito late, or simply finishes the fight with the lopsided decision he was boxing to before the rocks caught up to him.

First off, the fight was not lopsided and was close in the first 7 rounds. Second, Cotto landed EVERYTHING on Margarito in that fight and couldn't make a dent. Margarito's plastered gloves don't give him a better chin.

Cotto didn't like getting backed up, therefore couldn't press the fight and work the body. Plaster or not, Margo would win. Hes a pressure fighter that can't be hurt by Cotto, simple as that.

WTF are you talking about??? There is no evidence that he DID use "plaster.":patsch

    Here the result:

2008-07-26 147 Miguel Angel Cotto 147 MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States WTKO11

    www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=11677&cat=boxer

And, yes, I think Margarito will beat him in the rematch too!

Cotto was getting backed up by concrete gloves. That's the whole issue. If Margarito hadn't laced his gloves with stones, he wouldn't have been able to back Cotto up, nor could he deter him from going to the body. So, Cotto could not commit the attack he wanted to because he was being hit with cement. If, on the other hand, Cotto was not being hit with cement, he would have been able to stand his ground and commit more, thereby doing more damage, thereby beating the cheater and his unhealthily thin body into submission.

Unfortunately for Margarito fans, this wil have to wait at least a year because he cheated and was caught.

In the MOSLEY fight. There is no proof, NONE, that he cheated in ANY other fight.

The same "withholding judgment" bit you've been peddling since the Mosley fight. Fact is, there is less reason to give Margarito the benefit of the doubt, than to not do so. He made a public release denying cheating, I'm sure you saw the ESPN interview, and now he has been shown to have cheated. So, we've seen that he will say and do absolutely anything. His moral character is as hollow as his resume.

Capetillo has taken the heat in one of the biggest joke cover-ups of all time. So, yes, there was an illegal substance in the gloves. We can call it rock, concrete, cement, whatever works.
