OK how easy would it be to have cotto hire a S&C coach, then rematch Paulie, Paulie gets his massive payday he wanted with hatton, Cotto gets a chance to show he still has someting in a very winnable fight, a Title SHOT, so he would be right back up there.

Then He Can fight Marquez after whooping on Paulie.

    THis would be so great.

    My Dream World.

-Marquez Bradley Cinco DE mayo, Marquez wins back double stolen belt
-Cotto Paulie 147 at MSG brought to u by SHO, March-April, Cotto wins BY TKO- Dominant Ud and a BELT
    -Mayweather Guerrero- May UD
-Rios PACMAN September, PACman gets brutally TKO'd, PACman out of the Picture.
-May-Canelo September, Canelo UD, or late stoppage.
-Marquez vs Cotto December, Marquez late TKO at WW, Unifies 2 belts
-Early 2014 Cinco De mayo Marquez Mayweather 2, May rebounds for an Epic Mexican night.

**** I wish this could happen, Marquez has everyone in his resume would be nice to add cotto's head in there as well specially if he can legitimately come down to 147 with paulie and rejuvenate himself.

    Damn!!!!

Any Cotto pre Margarito (including the one that fought marg) would beat the JMM that KO'd Pac, imo.

The Cotto that Pac brutalised vs this JMM would be a decent fight, would like to see it, leaning towards Cotto still but I could see JMM having more success.... maybe he wins.

If they fought at 147 in 2013, and JMM comes in at 143, Cotto 147, Id favor JMM right now but I still think it would be a good fight.

I never thought much about Marquez. He had a great style for Pacman but lost to John and easily to Mayweather. Cotto gave Floyd a tougher fight. As ridiculous as you guys think that is fine, but Cotto would win. Marquez fighting Manny 4 times helped his resume for sure, while Manny took on everyone, JMM was fighting lesser quality and losing to the elites. Finally he beat Manny and it is a great win. Great knockout. But still doesn't mean he could beat Cotto. Who is just as fast and bigger and he beat Mosley, before Mosley beat Margarito. JMM would beat Mosley? I doubt it.

Everyone about JMM is judged by his fight with Pacman. If we rate him by his fight with Mayweather or John then how does he do against Cotto? Remember, most of Cotto's loses come to fast guys or bigger guys. Marquez is neither faster or bigger. For sure it would be a brawl.

then that would mean Trout would probably beat Mayweather. I would even say that Cotto took on more insurmountable challenges than JMM ever did. Cotto never handpicked. He always fought them all.

Prime for prime cotto takes this one.

But if you're talking about next year with cotto draining down to make the weight then I say jmm takes it.

I agree. And Cotto is not a top fighter anymore. I think JMM retires or fights Pacman again. He never was eager to take on many big challenges in recent years other than Mayweather and Pacman, and he lost easily to Floyd. However, Juan's knockout of Pacman is one of my favorite knockouts in the last few years.

The loss to Floyd is interesting only because of his succes against Pac. Guess it's a great example of styles make fights.

I've never had Juan losing except to Mayweather but he has been in many many close fights against people ranging from Pacman to Norwood.
