I have Cotto winning in 12. I think Cotto would be too good of a boxer in the end. Matthysse would have a chance because Cotto was more vulnerable at 140 than 147. The fight would be entertaining though. Maybe a full 12 rounds of Cotto vs. Torres?

The completely green matthysse that Judah fought, I think gets boxed to a decision loss against Cotto... in a good fight.

But I think Lucas has improved and adapted to the world class scene since that fight, and I think the current Matthysse would give Cotto all he could handle and then some at 140.

Would be a badass fight..... I cant call it.

Would expect Cotto to be the favorite to win but I personally I could see either winning it.

Cotto in a war. His boxing ability and skills on the inside carry him through after some rough moments. Lucas could definitely hurt him but wouldn't have an easy time finding him.

Cotto's chin was wobbly at 140 - I would fancy Matthysse to connect and KO him in a fight he would be down in

Cotto in a hard fight just because Cotto was weak at 140lbs. At 147 Cotto would beat him more comfortably.

    Oh ****.

    Cotto definitely hits the canvas.

What I'm unsure of is how many times he can keep getting up, and rally back. :think

If he survives the ride, he could salvage a decision with just enough 10-9s to counter the 10-8s.

Cotto was just a beast as Matthysse is right now at 140. Great fight.

I would take Cotto in 12 rounds of pure warfare.

at 140 I'd take Lucas. Not because I think he's that much better than Cotto, but because at JWW Cotto seemed a little weaker and a little chinny. He seemed more comfortable at 147.

    Great fantasy matchup!

Cotto's powerful left hook to the body vs Luscious Lucas power in both hands and that strong chin.

I know Lusicous Lucas takes it since his chin is proven when Judah landed that uppercut and Lucas just smiled on Judah while Cotto wobbled and resorted to fouling Judah with lowblow in the 1st round to survive.

I have a very hard time believing Cotto wins the championship rounds against Matthysse. Lucas has every ingredient to have Cotto back peddling, giving away rounds in Cotto fashion.

So Cotto will have to win most of the earlier rounds.

However, given that I think Lucas will take the championship rounds, and I think he could very well score some KD's (It wouldn't surprise me if Cotto was able to not get KD, but at the same time, I don't even remember the last time a guy fought Matthysse and didn't get put down, so the likely scenario is that Cotto, who can be rocked and dropped, especially at 140, is put down at least once in the fight)

So given those ingredients to the fight, I am going to say

Lucas Matthysse by SD *If scored fairly

Due to styles I have to pick Lucas at 140 he would have dropped Cotto atleast couple of times and hurt him plenty to scrape out a decision
