6 and 8 really are the consensus Cotto rounds. I find it interesting that people who've given him one or two additional rounds, vary on exactly which ones. To me 3 and 9 seem like the best of all his rounds outside his very clear 6 & 8. I've seen a lot of people give cards where they don't award him one or both of those, and instead give him others like the 5th or the 7th. :think Curious. To me, there were 8 very clear Floyd rounds - but among them are ones that others seem to have given Cotto. Conversely, a lot of people claim that the third and ninth (which I gave to Miguel) were among their own clear unshakeable Mayweather rounds. Maybe a round-by-round/minute-by-minute/punch-by-punch dissection and debate is in order to get to the bottom of this? :conf Not for the whole fight, just the "in dispute" rounds. So rule out 6, 8, and the championship rounds (Floyd swept all three, and don't let me hear a peep out of anyone suggesting otherwise because you're just wrong). No need to discuss those. 1-5, 7 and 9. (I think we've seen scorecards where someone or another has given Cotto at least one of each of those...although to me five of them are very clear for PBF) Maybe have people defend their cards with in-depth analysis, citing exact timestamps in Youtube vids of the events they factored into their decisions? Of course, those touting 118-110 scorecards will probably think this a pointless exercise on the grounds that "Cotto only won the damn 6th and 8th!! :cus RAAARGH!" :yep
Good post by IB, I thought round 9 was also a pretty clear Cotto round, before Floyd tookover and closed the show. 3 being the least of the 4 but still for Miguel. We seem to have the exact same scorecard except I scored the 2nd even, I'm gonna have to re-evaluate that though as it seems to be a clear Mayweather round by everyone except me. I seem to remember that round being pretty much a "ill hit you, you hit me" type of round, maybe it could have swung to a fighter on other scoring areas.
ditto was at the fight in the 10th row. Alot of puerto ricans there watching boxing for the first time. Fight not even close. Even when floyd was on the ropes he was landing the majority of the punches.
Mayweather/Cotto 1)10-9 2)9-10 3)10-10 even 4)10-9 5)9-10 6)9-10 7)10-10 even 8)9-10 9)10-10 even 10)9-10 11)10-9 12)10-9 Mayweather/Cotto 4 rds / 5 rds 3 even rds. There was a lot of close rds. that could went either way. I had Cotto wining by a point, but wouldn't have a problem with mayweather winning either, if anything it should of been a draw.
Just one look at your card tells me that you know very little about boxing. Cotto wins 2 rounds tops and thats if your generous to him.
Mayweather-Cotto: 1) 10-9 2) 10-9 3) 10-9 4) 10-9 5) 10-9 6) 9-10 7) 10-9 8 ) 9-10 9) 10-9 10) 10-9 11) 10-9 12) 10-9 118-110 Mayweather
