Here we go again with this " Floyd doesn't have to fight him because he will whoop his ass **** " **** that, prove it in the ring. Cotto is still elite and his confidence is sky high right now. Miguel is actually the 2nd biggest money fight for Floyd after Pac. A cotto-mayweather fight would be a huge PPV success.

If Manny bitches out and does not fight Floyd-I'd like to see Sergio Martinez.

Floyd fans are afraid of Cotto giving Floyd a tough fight. Plain and simple.

Cotto is one of the more complete fighters out there and he's much better than Ortiz. This is a guy with experience and mental strength, unlike that f@g Ortiz. And he's a champ with a huge fan base.

Great fighters take on all comers. ****, if we have this awful mentality about fights, Hearns shouldn't have fought Leonard after Duran beat him. And why should Iran Barkley give Duran a shot after he got beaten by Haglar and Hearns? Modern boxing fans are such pussies.

Cotto already beat a much better Mosley and would destroy Ortiz without sucker punching.

A better win then Ortiz considering Cotto is the nr 1 Jr. Middleweight and will be bigger then Floyd.

Ortiz wasn't elite neither and would likely quit against both Mayorga and Margarito so how was Ortiz a viable opponent for Floyd yet current Cotto is not? Because he beat Berto? When did Berto become an elite fighter?

This would have been a much more interesting fight 3 or 4 years ago. But it would still be a one of the best opponents Mayweather has faced. And THE best he's faced in a long while. I'd still like to see it.

If by getting to Cotto, you mean Margarito was getting smacked around, then yes he was getting to him.

Deserves Mayweather? Did Victor Ortiz or JMM deserve him?

Using that logic, who, aside from Pacquiao, deserves him?

For the record, Mayweather via UD. 117-111, 116-112.

Cotto's a great fighter, I'd be happy to see this fight get made.

He needs to figure out a better way of avoiding uppercuts though.
