I'm trying to think of how Cotto could possibly win this but at this time I only see Mayweather winning convincingly. It would be tough but Mayweather is always 2 steps ahead. Pre-Margarito I think I would be favoring Cotto

You call him "Lil Floyd" but ignore the fact that he is BIGGER than Cotto :deal

Would have been a great fight but I would lean to Floyd by a 115-113 decision.

Mayweather by TKO. It would have resembled the beatdown Floyd gave Gatti.

Mayweather vs Cotto was one fight the boxing world badly missed out on. Whatever the outcome, it would have said a lot about both fighters.

At the time yes, Cotto was the biggest threat to Mayweather and it really was a crime that it never took place. I think Cotto would have given him hell, and pushed him to the very limit.

After Mosley, Arum wanted Cotto to fight Margo as it kept money in his stable. Mayweather wasn't going to be an option until that fight went down. Then Arum would have probably looked to place the winner vs Mayweather.

Mayweathers best chance at fighting Cotto was when he was still with Arum. But at that point Cotto wasn't ready. And at the same time Arum was only offering 7mil guaranteed when Mayweather was looking for 10mil. When you look at that today. 10mil would have been a bargain. He fought Hatton and JMM for 15.

yeah but i wouldnt get so caought up in how he lost cuz now there is the question of whether or not pac was juicing and on top of that everybody knows cotto is not the same fighter he was b4 losing to Margocheato...You cant deny Cotto has been robbed of his prime
