Think of how this fight would be laid out. 24ft ring being the key here. Floyd potshots Cotto who doesn't have the footspeed to chase or close the ringdown on Floyd. Floyd mixes in jabs to the body to further slow down Cotto. later on, Cotto gets frustrated and starts taking hits trying to get inside. It's over at this point. Either Cotto goes out by KO or keeps taking punishment until Floyd wins by a UD. Cotto/DLH at 147 (if Oscar can make it) is the best matchup for Cotto.
If cotto puts him on the ropes though, mayweather is screwed. But I agree that mayweather is too fast and skilled for that to happen too often.
