Yea, only problem with that theory is that if you watch the tape... It was MOSLEY who looked at the ref and bitched about slipping on the water... NOT Cotto. It's easy to pretend Zab and Mosley were about to KO Cotto if you are looking to create heroes out of your brothers but Cotto beat both their asses. THE END.
Never could understand how anyone could have that fight for Mosley. Was a competetive fight, but one clearly won by Cotto. Competetive and close, doesnt always mean its debatable. Even mosley knew he didnt win that fight. That being said, could/should there have been a rematch? Idk.... it was a good close fight, but at the same time, there are movements and motions in boxing that people forget when they look back at history. The Mosley fight happend and was done with, and the motion was for Cotto to continue on to fight Margarito, in a highly anticipated showdown against another very dangerous opponent. Its just the way some things happen sometimes.... so im not going to say there should have been a rematch, but I will say it was a very good fight fought on a very high level. I can watch that fight over and over again. A rematch would have been awesome to see, but Im not gonna say there should have been one, as in there not being one was some sort of injustice to mosley. Cotto was the champion, Mosley lost a competetive fight, team Cotto moved on. Fine by me. Great fight.
