I think Mosley could definitely stop Cotto. He was hurt against Judah twice and his chin is still questionable. People talk about Mosley not exactly knocking good fighter's out at 147 or 154 but remember Roberto Duran wasn't either. Duran couldn't take out Benitez or Kirkland Lang but he took out Cuevas and Davey Moore. So there is still a possibility that Mosley can take Cotto out.
good fight and good clash of styles. i favour cotto on pts. cotto's pressure and speed of punch will outscore shane i reckon. mosley will tough it out and have his moments. but cotto is younger and fresher than shane who will turn 36 in september.
cotto's fast himself. mosley struggled against 2 basic pressure fighters on his recent comeback before the vargas fights. shane will need a vargas 2 sort of showing to hold off cotto. vargas was at the end of a tough career and cotto is on his way up.
--- Mayweather-Hatton is practically official for December. This means there are no problems to make Cotto-Mosley in November. Apparently both fights will happen, and the logical thing is that both winners fight against each other in 2008. Cotto wins by TKO or Mosley by MD.
Im gonna have to go with Cotto on this one. I will guess by a 9 or 10 round KO. I only worry that if Shane doesn't show out really strong in the process Cotto will get no credit because every one will say Shane was old and shot. I mean **** Shane is 36 already.
Mosley will knock him out with the left hook... say what you want, he'll be more consistent than Zab, takes a better punch, is just as fast and punches just as hard as Zab... Cotto is taylor made for Shane... Shane by KO in the 7th
I am. Look Cotto is easy to hit, he is shorter then Shane with shorter arms which means that he isnt going to be able to keep shane off balance with his jab, a punch that Cotto doesnt use often anyways. Fighters that walk to shane get ate alive.
Great news !!! And to think Arum is part of this fight ..Can't wait MSG is going to be rocking that night !!
