i've seen the fight and the ref saved him, if the punch that mosley was about to throw landed then he would have been knocked down. what you so pissed about anyway, what do you think that gomez is a better fighter than mosley or something.
atsch One of the biggest myths on here is that Mosley had him in serious trouble and Cotto got a break. There is a poster on here named Antwuan Maxx that has a gif of this and you can CLEARLY see that Mosley was the one who got the ref to stop the action. Quit bulshitting.
Man shut up just wait until 26 and see the fight. All your treads have been negative about Cotto, They are more fighters.
People on this thread already debunked the myth. But, the ref did a great job by only stopping the action for about 5 seconds and continued right away with the fight.
Even though the evidence is right there I doubt the people that were saying that Cotto was saved by the ref will come back and say they were wrong. Pretty much like the heaadbutt in the Torres-Holt fight. Good job with posting those gif's:good
Of course they won't admit they were wrong! Didn't you see Cotto's eyes go glassy when the back of his head was facing the camera or something????
Cotto wasn't about to be knocked cold, but he sure as hell should have had a rematch against Shane or Zab before he went into a fight against ****ing Gomez.
it was a right hand that got his attention but i wouldn't say he was hurt from it u can see after the ref had breaken the fight cottos eyes were still good but if anybody was to be blamed for that break it was mosley's fault
:good This is funny to me, though. It reminds me of a sequence in Cotto-Pinto. In the second round of their fight, they exchanged punches and afterwards Cotto began fighting on the backfoot. Lampley and Steward were speculating that a punch from Pinto hurt Cotto and had him thinking twice. Merchant disagreed and said that it looked to him that Cotto wanted to counter Pinto's wide shots. Not even 30 seconds later, Cotto drops Pinto with a counter left hook with his back agaisnt the ropes. It seems anytime Cotto isn't playing the aggressor, or his back touches the ropes...people assume he's hurt.
i didnt see ****....this is the main reason why people should re-watch close fights instead of going by what they saw while drunk.....cotto didn't coast, he stayed there banging and beating mosley up......
How about you watch the clip without listening to the commentators, he wasn't affected anywhere near what they made him out to be.
