Just rewatched it for the first time in years. Sick fight for both guys. Mosley looked great, though he slowed in the second half, he kept on trying. Cotto showed a nice right hand and jab. Such a awesome fight for the welterweight division's history. Not the signature win for Cotto (that has to go to him beating Tony) but surely his greatest win of his career (IMO) when you consider how great Mosley was here.

Very, very good entertaining bout...both guys fight on a high level and bring the best out in each other.

Very good fight. I see it as Cotto's best win, and one of his best performances. His punch variety and upper body movement was on point that night. Mosley made a good account of himself as well, despite being past his best.

I'd say Mosley was about an 8 from a 1-10 scale. You'd have to say that because how outgunned and outboxed the young Luis Collazo in his last fight, who Andre Berto couldn't dominate.

True but its important to note Collazo was doing well in the first three against Mosley until he broke his hand

The way Mosely fought though, I don't think it would of mattered. The same thing would of happened.

Perhaps I might watch it again soon. I have Mosley's whole career set and haven't checked out that fight in a while. While its surprising to me Collazo did as well as he did against Berto, nothing Berto has done up to now proves to me he's much better than Collazo at all (mabye he just hits a bit harder).

That's a fair rating; he outboxed Collazo thoroughly in that fight with the skills people now forgot he had.

I seem to remember actually giving this to Shane by one point

great performance by cotto ad not as close as people think the only reason it was as close as it was is the last few rounds were like the end of oscar-Trinidad but the judges got it right this time

Hard to think Mosley was contemplating retirement after, only to continue and KO a perceived unstoppable Margarito.
