To Floyd and Trout, Ortiz was last seen losing every other round to fringe 140er Josesito Lopez :patsch.

It would be a great fight to watch either way.

As much as Ortiz gets hate on this site, he prettyy much is NEVER in a dull fight

Hard to imagine Vic even being 70% of what he once was.
    His Jaw is "Fux'd up"

But IF he could somehow recover 100%, I'd favor Ortiz over Cotto.

On fair cards it was a 1 point lead for Ortiz after 9. Lopez is just a part of it though, Ortiz is just not a winner when it comes to boxing. He's 1-3-1 against top ten type comp, that's a terrible record. On top of it, his only win came at a catchweight. Hasn't won a single fight at 147 proper.

At 147 I think Ortiz brings more skills into the ring. However I'm not sure what is between his ears. Than again if the fight goes in to the latter rounds Cotto tends to fade.
I think we are looking at a decision for Ortiz 8-5, 7-5 or a mid round stoppage for Cotto. In a fight that is close or he's slightly behind at the time.

Ortiz, Cotto doesn't do well with SP's, if he damn near turned his back and ran when facing the sub par power Trout, what would he do with Ortiz constantly in his grill

I'm not even sure Cotto beats Lopez at this point:patsch

How drained would Cotto be at 147? he hasn't fought at welter since he got stopped by Pacquiao way back in 09. I'd favour Ortiz to stop him at that weight. Cotto wins at 154 though.

If Ortiz was hungry id have him down as a very live underdog.

Good fight. A bit of a toss up tp me. I would favor Cotto, he is more consistent. But there is always the chance that Ortiz hurts and stops Cotto. Ortiz would be the hardest hitter Cotto probably has ever faced.
