Cotto by T.K.O. Miguel has all the tools to make Mayweather's should rolling look bad. PBF is nowhere near as aggressive as it takes to gain Cotto's respect in the ring. IMO
before last nights fight, i would have said cotto easy, but now.... pacs faster than cotto and also it looks like he punches pretty hard and has a much higher workrate. i think pac could take him out by stoppage, and if not a clear points win.
Got Floyd on the brain after all the million threads about him.. And the million and one on Pac, anyway. I think this one goes 12rds. with both fighter's showing mutual respect for each other. Cotto will win a close fight similar to the Mosley fight.
i woulda said cotto by ko before saturday night. now i really dont even know. id still go with cotto, but pac was VERY impressive on Saturday
Cotto will have the same trouble with Pacquiao's mix of speed and power that everyone else has had. If Cotto goes to the ring trying to stalk Pacquiao - he will end up on his back staring at the lights before the 12th.
Cotto. Maybe we could watch Cotto-Judah to have a blueprint of him going against a lefty. I know, I know, people will say Pac is not Judah. But I think he will fight the same way.
I have Pacquiao. I've always thought that Cotto had some lucky breaks, and against a fast, sharp precision puncher I think he'll get flurried all night. I'll say what I said before the Hatton fight: it's all about Pacquiao's movement. If he can avoid those body shots and keep off the ropes, he'll win this fight from distance.
If they did fight, it would be at a catchweight. Anything around 143, and I would lean towards Pac. Pac is the better fighter. He's faster, better defensively, and may even be a bigger puncher at the catchweight. That straight left hand would give Cotto all sorts of trouble. At the same time, Pac has been susceptable to that left hook in the past.
