Cotto vs pac @ 147

i agree. arum is just using a possible cotto-pac fight as bait and leverage in negotiations for a superfight between pac and floyd. arum has done this many times in the past, announcing pac's next opponent which is usually also a top rank fighter just for pac to eventually fight another fighter which makes for a very much bigger fight and much more financial sense for him (arum).

 

I pick Cotto by murder.

 

Before I didnt want this fight to happen since Cotto would just be beating up on a midget. But Pacman is now a real opponent. I would love for this fight to take place.

Imagine Cotto taking on Clottey, Pacman, and Mayweather all in a year. Beautiful.

 

Agreed. I think Cotto deserves it. He's fought everyone he can and really never got a big paycheck, not 1 payday. He may be the most deserving, guy has been fighting everyone relevant in his weight class, now Clottey and he doesn't even have to. He quite possibly was cheated in a fight last year by someone with loaded gloves. He can't unify titles because they keep stripping the belts away. Guy's been the one putting everything on the line constantly but never gotten any of the rewards, it's a disgrace.

Some of you ****ing hopeless Cotto-queens need to calm down a bit.

The Pac that we saw in there with Ricky Hatton would murder Cotto. He is too susceptible to Pac's best punches. And he doesn't have the chin you guys give him credit for.

Cotto doesn't have the speed, footwork, or stamina advantage. All he has is the advantage size and maybe punching power. And that isn't enough. Not even close.

PAC by TKO mid to late rounds. Too fast and too dynamic for Cotto. Fairly even early but the movement, speed and pace set by PAC has him edging Miguel until the mid rounds where PAC begins to seperate clearly until he puts Cotto out.

cotto actually holds his hands up, and a has a good defense, something ricky doesnt seem to know anything about.

hes also a very hard, accurate puncher, and is very agile.

the straight punchers from cotto will land, and hell do good work on the inside. the only thing cotto really needs to worry about is pacmans speed. hes so damn fast.

 

Cotto has more dimensions to his game than Hatton. To even compare both fighters is mentally ******ed. Cotto has great foot movement and will not stand in front of Pacman. And Cotto has the one weapon that negates hand speed, a strong stiff jab which will be in Mannys face all night long.
