lol....It seems you are drinking the same Haterade....only on the opposite side with you claiming Cotto would murder PAC. In reality I think it would be a good fight. Competitive....but with PAC winning before the 12 round. Cotto is good early but fades late....PAC gets stronger late which has me to believe he'll pull this one out with a clear win.

    Pac TKO.

Cotto gets hit too easy and Pacman has excellent handspeed. Not to mention counter punching skills along with some footwork.

I hope you are right for your sake b/c if Cotto can't stop PAC early then there is no way he's winning a decision and could very easily not see the 12th round.

Where?? Many boxing sites, journalist, posters, fans ect... PAC was too small for Hatton, DLH even EM & Lebewah.

I would be......PAC has a better performance at 140 but given Cotto is not too big for a WW I think PAC still has a great chance at stopping Miguel due to the speed disparity and dynamics PAC holds over Cotto.

I completely agree with you there. My only problem is why is it considered an unfair advantage if mayweather faught him at 147?

Floyd is PAC's "peer" in regards to their Talent and skill levels. Actually no one really is on Floyd's skill level. So yea....fighting Floyd should be at a catch weight considering Floyd is the larger man and both are equal with what they bring to the fight. Floyd is more skilled....PAC is overall a more dangerous fighter since he can box and bang against any level of opposition. Floyd cant' bang with his equal...he'll choose to box, use his feet and outpoint. Which is fine...but he will loose more fans than he makes doing things this way.

I agree, judging by the fight Hatton let his emotions carry him away and let himself too open (kinda reminds of Vargas on this). Cotto on the other hand never lets this happens and always follows the gameplan. Against Margacheato, Cotto was putting a clinic for the first 6 rounds until Margo started putting more pressure but he still went 11 rounds with the bigger stronger guy. Cotto was withstanding punishment (maybe with plaster) for 5 rounds constantly. Makes you think that a fight with Pacquiao cannot be compared with DLH or Hatton's; Cotto is just a different type fighter on a different level.

Honestly the 1st 6 rounds were impressive but not b/c he dominated Marg. As anyone knows Marg looses the first half of most of his fights....what was impressive was that Cotto showed A LOT of boxing skills. However.......PAC starts fast...he's not easily hit, he sets a pace like that of Marg (which Cotto had a hard time keeping up with) and PAC is by far a better boxer than Tony. No matter what level Cotto is one presently it's still beneather the level PAC is operating on at this moment.

I won't speak on the Morales and Ledwaba fights since they were so long ago. But I will speak on Oscar and Ricky.

I'm certain "many boxing site journalists, posters, fans, etc" didn't factor in Oscar coming in completely dehydrated into their equation and weighing even less than Manny on fight night. Oscar was clearly dead at the weight, something which has been confirmed by Freddy Roach, and completely changes everything. Especially when you're discussing physical strength. Had Oscar looked even remotely as healthy as he did against Steve Forbes, it would be a different story.

On the other hand, I didn't see Hatton's strength as a major factor headed into the Pacquiao fight. I was of the opinion that since Hatton always struggles with southpaws ,speedy handed fighters, and had a leaky defense to boot, Manny should have the advantage in style and win by stoppage only giving Hatton the proverbial puncher's chance.

I don't think it's much of a stretch to say Cotto is a much stronger fighter than a drained Oscar De La Hoya or an 140 pound Ricky Hatton.

Great point. Alot forget that it was Cotto who was manhandling Sugar Shane in the clinches during their bout, he was muscling him around like a ragdoll. Even besides that, the strength factor isn't what I would point to as why he would win over a Pac, alot want to simply underrate Cotto..purposely or whatever...once again, seems he is the most overscrutinized fighter in the sport. They want to make him out as some 147 pound version of a Hatton. Whatever. Let them believe what they wish.

I think Cotto has a better chance of beating Pacquiao than Mayweather or anybody else. I think Cotto will be a little too strong though.

    Pac vs Cotto = Cotto
    Pac vs PBF = Pac
    PBF vs Cotto = PBF
