Get out of here bro, the corner wouldn't have made a difference. A trainer can't fight for you. Styles make fights, and Pacquiao is a better fighter. They could fight 10 more times, same result.
The weight didn't affect him at all. He looked strong in there. It is still an issue. Whether it would have made a difference or not (it wouldn't IMO).
Revisionist thinking (on his end) Imo like others have said, a better corner would have done Cotto better than that one pound. but still not much. Cotto has trouble with high workrate fighters
SSM agreed to take Pac @143 only if Pac's camp would agree on the 60/40 split.. SSM outpriced himself.. :smoke Both Pacquioa and Cotto's camp agreed to 145 lbs.. And the bigger split goes to Pac.. :deal
cotto, hatton, marg, and oscar are classmates in this one. all were weightdrained. true, one pound could hurt these guys. even if we don't go by what cotto says it was obvious cotto was more dangerous and better at 154.
he didn't agree to it the second time, that should tell you something. Cotto is not the type of fighter that makes excuses. Pacquioa says hes the best but would only fight Cotto at another catch weight but this time at 150, why force him to 145 the first time. Even up the playing field so that we can see if Pacquioa can compete with no advantage.
For Iceman- You obviously care so much about it as you just creamed your pants writing that post! so what if Pac used to weigh 118lbs its his choice to move up in weight and he has done so easily. Pac is a fully fledged welterweight now regardless of what he used to weigh. Bottom line is he fought a drained to **** Oscar at 147lbs then after the Cotto catchweight fought Clottey at 147lbs. He has proved he can make the weight when needed so why make a catchweight with Cotto? Team Pac need every advantage and its obvious for all to see. I have no doubt in my mind if the fight was at 147lbs Pac would have won i just hate the catchweight bull****, if nothing else it harms Pacs legacy. Yes he has beaten great fighters and given us fans amazing fights over the years and he is incredible value for money. But you have to be deluded to believe he has only ever fought fighters at their prime and he is just a little man conquering these big strong boys!!!
 a career LWW in hatton, a career WW in margarito, 1lb off from Cotto who said he was fine. Oscar was the one trying to cherry pick Pacquiao who was a LW. Oh, but pac won all those fights so lets look at it the other way... derp derp none of these are as bad as SRL seeking the LHW title from LaLonde at 168 just to match Hearns
He's been getting the lesser split before.. After beating guys like Oscar and Ricky, I think he deserves the bigger share of revenue splits.. :smoke
