Roach didn't want the fight. He siad "Mosley isn't Oscar" for a reason when Team Pac ducked the fight

:think Let's say during that time, someone from 135 jumped two divisions higher to faced Oscar @147.. Let's say Diaz? Katsidis? Casamayor? Would they beat the "dehydrated" Oscar? I bet those guys would have been knocked out by the "dehydrated" Ricky.. I bet those guys would have been knocked out by the "dehydrated" Cotto.. :smoke

Mosley outpriced himself by saying he wants 40% of the split.. Just like what they said, SSM isn't Oscar.. :deal

Oscar was always been the star and the cash cow back then.. Pacquioa fought him with a lesser split.. And he was clearly dethroned by Pacquioa.. By that time, Mayweather was in another vacation which puts Manny on top in that period.. Pac only wants what he deserves.. :smoke

**** off you ****ing dopey ****! cotto fought at WW for 8 consecutive fights, Pacquiao being his 9th. manny had fought at WW only once against ODLH. he was moving up from 140lbs, he had to gain 5 lbs while cotto had to lose 2.

there are always excuses why someone lost

he lost cos he couldnt handle manny's speed/power not cos he had to lose 2 lbs - IDIOT

Pacquiao would have knocked Cotto out from 147-154 anyway

Yeah 40% of the split and doing Pac's catchweight BS is just too much. Who sold more PPVs at that point? Mosley or Pac? Who was the champion in the division then?

    You're a joke.

It wasn't like he dropped 20 pounds to get into the weight class he dropped what 10 pounds over a long period of time. No ****ing way weight drained is a viable excuse when you compete in a weight class over that.

To be fair the weight wasn't really an issue. Although I feel if Cotto continued for 2 or 3 more fights at welterweight he may have started to struggle with the weight. I think the issue is that if 2 pounds doesn't make a difference then why didn't Pac just fight at 147 instead of doing what I perceive to be a bit of a *****'s manoeuvre and fight at a catchweight. Also that Mosley one is hilarious trying to get him down to 141 for his welterweight title.

So I'm a joke?  Come on, you are the real joke here.. :deal

    :rofl :rofl:rofl

Your biggest argument is "Who's the champion?"..
Both of them were.. But don't you have any idea how big was the Pacquioa-Hatton fight? That you compare it to the SSM-Margarito fight? :rofl :rofl f*cking moron..

Oscar - no way. Dude was finished and was pretty damn embarrassing that night.

Ricky - maybe. He put his body through pretty strenuous **** going up and down from welterweight and light welterweight. It's not like mayweather beat a prime Hatton, but he was certainly better than the one Ricky fought. He was an emotional wreck and his head was in the wrong place. Katsidis would beat Ricky that night hands down he was crying on the way to the bloody ring.

Cotto - Yes. Cotto was still the number 3 welterweight and although he had a bit of a shaky performance against Clottey (I had it a draw) would have still been good enough to beat any man up to 147 accept pac, mayweather and Mosley.

It's good to see someone without an agenda stick it to *******s like this. Mosley was the top dog at 147 and Cotto was 3 at best. Mosley may not have been the bigger draw than pac, however the fact that Jokeski thinks PAC had done more PPV numbers than Mosley up to that point in there respective careers just shows you his agenda.

"I take nothing away from Manny. We both made a great fight...He is fast and stronger than we thought he would be...He is fast and stronger than we thought he would be," stated former welterweight champion Miguel Cotto as he talked about his loss to Manny Pacquiao, his future plans and more.

PC: How are you doing Miguel?

MC: I'm doing pretty good, enjoying the holiday season.

PC: Now that you have had time to reflect on the Pacquiao fight, where do you feel you went wrong?

MC: Well, some details did not came out the way we wanted, but I take nothing away from Manny. We both made a great fight.

PC: Was coming down to 145 tougher than you thought it would be since you hadn't weighed 145 or less since 2006?

MC: I felt really good at that weight. It wasn't a problem for me.

PC: We all know Manny has a ton of speed, but was he a bigger puncher than you thought he would be?

MC: He is fast and stronger than we thought he would be.

PC: A lot of people felt that your corner should have stopped the fight. Was that not an option for you?

MC: No, I didn't want the fight stopped. I was feeling good.

PC: I read where you plan on retiring at 30, which is next year for you. Is that accurate and what led to that decision?

MC: I always said that when I get to age 30, I was going to be out of the ring. That decision has been made and has nothing to do with my defeats.

PC: When I think of Miguel Cotto, I think of a warrior; a fighter that can punch with both hands and also a fighter that would fight anyone. How would you like to be remembered?

MC: As a good fighter and a great champion.

PC: You have one, possibly two fights left if you plan on retiring in the fall of next year. What caliber of opponents would you like to go out facing?

MC: As I always said, I'm just another employee of Top Rank. I'm willing to fight the big names out there.

PC: Although the fight looks shaky now, who do you like if Pacqiao and Mayweather did hook up?

MC: The one with the best condition will win.

PC: It was a pleasure and my honor to conduct this interview. I truly appreciate your time and would like to thank Eric for setting this up. Is there anything you want to say in closing?

MC: Anytime. Thanks for the opportunity. It is a pleasure for me.

Sorry *****s, Cotto just blew up your spot.
