Cotto would be too weight-drained to handle Pacquiao's Speed.

    @ 147lbs Cotto by UD
    @ less than 147lbs Pacquaio by T.K.O.

    That said...
Cotto by UD is the $afe money.

I like Cotto a lot, but I'll make an avatar bet with anyone that Pac knocks him out at whatever weight they fight at, whether it's at a fair catchweight or up at Cotto's weight. It's a style thing. Pac will land far, far too many clean punches for this to end any other way than a Pacquiao stoppage victory.

The former light-welterweight champion would indeed be a walking corpse if he had to shed an almighty THREE POUNDS.

where do you get this 20% when cotto weighed-in @146 for the clottey fight? does losing just another two lbs. result into a "20% weight-drained as **** cotto?! i think you're over-exaggerating here.

and how can pac be 100% at 144? he has never weighed -in more than 142 in any fight. even 144 is out of his comfort zone of 140. actually, pac even weighed-in @138 for the hatton jr. welter fight. 140 is pac's last best weight. he definitely won't be 100% at 144 just like he wasn't @147 for the dlh fight. pac looked more powerful and faster in the hatton fight compared to the dlh fight. he'll be somewhat in between in a fight @144.

Update: according to news sources from The Philippines, a fight deal could be reached by the end of the week. Bob Arum said negotiations went fine with Team Cotto, now he has to make an offer the the Pacquiao camp.

"By the weekend I will have something concrete to share with Manny. It looks very, very good . I will have a very good proposal that will make Manny happy."
