Cotto vs. Pacquiao - Who are you rooting for and why?

I'm not rooting for anyone in particular.

I like both fighters. Anyone who doesn't is a pure hater. What is there to hate about Cotto or Pacquiao? Their both warriors. they both have fought at the highest level. They're both highly skilled.

All I'm hoping for his a great fight. :bbb

 

Miguel Cotto

1. He is the underdog
2. Carries himself with class all of the time
3. Impressed me with how he dealt with adversity last time out.

But most importantly.

4. I feel a Manny loss will rid the forums of the terrible ******* posters.

 

I'm torn. I've been a longtime admirer of Cotto, but on the otherhand I'm desperate to see Pac/PBF. In all honesty, i'm just looking forward to what is hopefully the fight of the year. May the best man win.

Pac and Cotto are my idols. I will not excuse myself coz im a filipino and root outrightly for a fellow countrymen.

Cotto. He’s an awesome guy. Very rarely do I think someone is cool, but Cotto is. He’s smart, focused, witty and genuinely wants to prove himself.

I was devastated after he lost to Margo, and even more when it turns out he may have been getting beaten with bricks for 11 rounds. Even then, the skill and bravery he showed all the way through – even winning the tenth round till Margo caught him right at the end – was inspiring. That’s a fighter.

With all the people doubting him, with the tough fight he had against Clottey (that I had Cotto winning on account of the knock down), with people looking at Pac’s last three performances and ignoring the context of those wins, and everyone only talking about Manny-Mayweather as the fight… I want Cotto to turn it all round and show us his warrior spirit.

Is it going to be an easy fight? No, but I think Cotto is the superior fighter.

 

pacquiao for the historical importance of this fight. we can witness a fighter reach the top atg's of this sport, i dont think we will see another fighter reach those standards for a long tiime.

 

Nothing against Cotto but i want Pac to win because i think he is the nicest guy in boxing.

 

Pacquiao, because Cotto sucks.

And take note, it really takes a lot for me to root for Pacquiao, because I ****ing hate his guts too.

 

Edging towards Cotto at the moment, they are both fighters that I really admire.

Just hope it is a good fight!

 

Cotto's my favorite active fighter,so I hope he wins.However he looks a bit shopworn.Manny Pac is a class guy,so if he beats Miguel,I'll be disappointed but not gutted.
