he's earned the right to defend against golovkin
a fragmented sport (via the federations) gifts him the luxury to actually choose who he fights
you shouldn't be defending cotto having a choice

Why would Top Rank or Golden Boy let Jay-z in? He doesn't promote either fighter & there's no purse bids scheduled where he could bid, so really Jay-z has nothing to do with either fighter.

A smart business move by Cotto as far as 160 champions go. Quillin is one of the most prominent paper champions in boxing. I'm gonna go with a late stoppage.

This is an excellent fight. At least Cotto is looking to unify in only his second fight at Middleweight. GGG might want to take notes.

He's a big name with money, that's usually a successful combination.

Thought Rubio is next, how did they end up with Quillin? Quillin is a more difficult fight for Cotto,,... I guess a there will be a catchweight,,... 155 maybe?

Will just give the winner more of an excuse to keep ducking golovkin.

Id rather see either one fight G.

Personally, I think what Cotto is doing is hardly as bad as many fighters out there.

When Mayweather is fighting Maidana again  and Pacquiao is fighting Algieri :rofl, I think Cotto chasing a Canelo fight is hardly something to get up in arms about.

My question to you is why are you not more angry about Mayweather's and Pacquiao's opponent selection.

    Wait.

Remember, Quillin can't fight on HBO. He's a Showtime fighter. Wasn't that one of the excuses on why he couldn't fight GGG?

When has Hopkins ever used that as an excuse?

    He hasn't.

Game over. Don't try to staple Hopkins balls on Quillin.
