This would be IMO a major legacy fight for Cotto at this point in his career. Santos 3 time world champion and current WBA title holder. If Cotto beats Margarito and then Santos... wow

I don't see how this could be anything less than a mega fight in PR

Can't pick a winner Santos is a tall southpaw, skilled and very strong. Cotto is much faster and maybe more powerful with a better defence.

Cotto would stop him.. maybe survive some shaky moments when being caught coming in by Santos, but it's at least a 90/10 fight in favor of Cotto IMO. Basically because Cotto wouldn't have much trouble getting inside with his jab and pressuring Santos, breaking him down by the mid rounds and finishing him off shortly afterwards. Santos isn't tricky enough of a boxer to beat someone like Cotto. The only slight worry here is Cotto's still somewhat shaky chin.

Santos seemed to be rejuvenated in his last fight and is only 32

Im not so sure. I dont think he will be the last to KO Alcine and time will tell how significant that win is.

But he is a good fighter still, maybe a little to dangerous for Cotto.

I would like to see Santos or anyone to become the man at 154, so maybe it would be worth Cotto's while moving up.

Well even before the KO he was showing nice feints, being agressive in clinches, and showing very nice lateral movement.

Santos fought a good fight against a good fighter, KO or not. Didn't get to test his stamina though...

Santos is a little hesitant and relies on his opponent to make the counters possible. Alcine made some mistakes like leaving his head up in the air as the rounds went by. I don't see Cotto doing that.

If Santos were aggressive I'd pick him but he's really not. Although if he does hit Cotto flush it's lights out. Otherwise I pick Cotto by UD.

    Santos is huge.
he'd prob weigh close to 168lbs
Cotto might be in over his head.
