Can Miguel beat Felix 4 a share of the middleweight title? Or is it a case of Sturm just b'n too big n strong?

The Sturm who fought ODLH would dismantle Cotto and make Cotto swim in his own blood. Like you said, much too big and strong.

My thinking is, a lot of people give Cotto a chance @ making Martinez competitive and he is king of 160...So Sturm shuldnt b that much of a prob if u look at styles right?

Sturm would certainly be one of his best options for a MW title. .

I heard he was initially in talks with French-Cameroonian Hassan N'dam N'jikam - NOT a good idea. . . He would knock Cotto out, I'm almost positive of it. . He has a hard punch, and is very fleet of hand, and foot - just as much as martinez. . .

Daniel Geale would probably be Cotto's best option. . He's a smallish MW, is under 6'0'', doesn't have a big punch, nor is he exceptionally quick. . He's a solid boxer, and all, but I'd give Cotto a decent shot against him.

I'd give Cotto a chance against Sturm. . . But if I had to pick, it'd be Sturm taking the fight over during the middle rounds with his powerful jab, and Cotto wouldn't be strong enough to bust through his tight guard.

Oh wait, I forgot Geale and Sturm are fighting in September. . . The winner of this fight would definitely be the best bet for Cotto. .

AVOID N'Jikam, Pirog/Golovkin winner at all costs. Same with Chavez Jr. . He'd murk Cotto.

N'jikam isn't a massive puncher. If you think N'jikam dominates Cotto then you must think that 5'4 Khurtsidze is a class above Cotto since he arguably beat N'jikam. tbh i think Khurtsidze beats Cotto at MW but thats something else.

If u look @ his last few fights u gotta admit that he looked less than stellar...after that then there were lots of people saying Cotto could make it competitive (I must admit that I too was pretty high on Cotto makin it happen)

Sturm is not at his best anymore. The inactivity and age have caught up with him. Cotto has shown some improvements as of late and he could beat him but not in Germany. It would be too close of a fight.

    no he really couldnt.

Sturm is simply too big, Cotto trades on his physicality which would be null and void against a world class guy who'd be at least 20lb heavier in the ring
