Cotto vs Trinidad

    Ok, so there is a thread going around lacing up Margarito against Trinidad. So i started wondering how exactly do boxing fans picture a mystical match-up between the latest PRican boxing idols (all with high respect for Ivan Calderon and the newly crowned Juanma ;) ) Miguel Angel Cotto VS Felix Tito Trinidad at 147. Lets say when Tito was 25 years old and the current Cotto. I know that we'll never really know, so i beg you to please respect our fellow boxing fans opinions and lets try too not get way to caught up on who is right or wrong, just for fun, who takes it???

    trinidad to me was much more of a beast plus during his time there were a lot of good names at ww compared to todays names! Trinidad had incredible power at that weight anyways killer left hook and right cross. cotto gets all my respect but titos got this one

    Yeah, if Cotto got caught by Tito. There is no recovery. I think Cotto would win rounds but get caught with something he cant recover from.

    How come the ones who picked Cotto aren't saying anything?? I personally haven't voted yet :)

    i reckon trinidad at 147 pounds was a beast but cotto at the end of every fights he seems to be getting better idk at this point of cotto's career i would pick this fight to be 50/50

    I could actually see Cotto outboxing him for a bit but its not the kind of style like Winky or Bernard or Oscar that will leave Tito there without a clue. Tito will continue to come forward and them left hooks will land and hurt Cotto and finish him off. Noboddys ever been able to finish the job vs Cotto and Trinidad is one of the best finishers the last 15 years.

    Cotto UD. Faster and better boxer. There's always a chance for a Tito knockout but i still got Cotto. Its a pick em fights tho.

    i picked Cotto but that was before reading the thread:-( i thought it meant tito now if he would try to go down.

    but like everyone else here, i'd say that a prime tito would KO Cotto if he caught him. However, I could see Cotto being smart enough to try to box tito.

    technically cotto is alot better rounded boxer he can fight or he can box but if he chose to box trinidad would catch on too him sooner than later and if he chosed to fight trinidad was to big for him so trinidad in mid rounds
