Tito has better power, better handspeed, better foot speed and a much superior workrate.

Tito would end Cotto inside the distance.

You said Trinidad somehow had stamina problems, there is no evidence of that, he didn't tire against DLH. Oscar tired late and started to run without throwing punches, Trinidad was not the one who tired in that fight.

Cotto was not better than prime De La Hoya in any way. Not speed, not power, not footwork, not defense, not anything. He could never do what DLH did, he would get caught repeatedly and if he is lucky he would be able to survive into the 8th round.

dissagree Tito was 40 bouts no losses in his prime seemed to box ok against Sweetpea, and as for the DLH, the midget fighter ? That fight was one I still watch and I still have to turn the sound to block out the two blabbermouths doing there best to influence viewers talking up every punch DLH threw plus afew extras and ignoreing Titos. evan so there was only one o two points in the bout

No he doesn't. I don't know what makes you think cotto has the boxing skills to outclass Trinidad like he did Margo for the first half of the fight, do you honestly believe Trinidad lacked technical skills? Trinidad was deadly accurate with his punches and was great at mixing them up to the head and the body, he had very good timing with his punches. Cotto gets hit, and he has been hurt. Against Trinidad he would be facing the most precise puncher he's ever faught who also happens to be clearly the biggest puncher he's ever fought. A man who barely beat an old Shane Mosley, had his problems with Zab Judah, and was stopped by Margarito is not going to beat an ATG welterweight like Trinidad.

Cotto is an excellent fighter and one of my favorite fighters today, but there is no way he goes the distance against prime Trinidad, let alone beats him.

I will agree to disagree, but if you haven't I suggest watching and studying Trinidad in his prime. As much as I like Cotto and as good as he is, I see no case for him in this fight. He's simply outgunned by a very big margin.

I don't like the Cotto defense whatsoever in this matchup. At least Trinidad keeps his hands up. I think that sizzling and accurate left hook that Felix throws--and doesn't telegraph--is going to land clean far too often. TKO7.

Cotto's defense and chin is questionable - Judah and Torres nearly had him out, Mosley had him on ***** street as did Corley

Trinidad will land and when he hurts Cotto he won't let him off the hook

I could just as easily say the Margarito plan implemented by Tito gets him the win. That plan is: walk him down at a plodding pace, follow him but don't cut off the ring, throwing wide, winging shots and leave yourself open at all times, eventually wear your opponent down. In other words, Tito could basically take the night off and still stop Cotto.

And why the hell was this moved to the Classic Forum?
