Cotto is in Vegas and recently met with Showtime to discuss his fight with Trout. They were originally discussing put the fight on Showtime PPV but it seems like they decided to go another route according to Lance Pugmire from the LA Times...

Hmm... Showtime pony up enough that Miguel didn't care about the PPV or does Show think he won't draw against Trout and his promotional company doesn't have the expertise to promote it?

Yeah, the head at Showtime Sports was Golden Boys attorney for years, so it's to be expected.

    Good question.

Miguel has his own promotional company. Is Trout with GBP? Might be a dual promotion then.
