Cotto vs Williams!

    Since the idea of these two fighting eachother, I've decided to create an official thread for this match up. Who do you think would win a fight between Miguel Cotto and Paul Williams? Thoughts on the fight! Dont be afraid to vote!

    I'll start it off by saying I'm picking Paul Williams over Miguel Cotto. I think height, work rate, and style advantages would give Williams the edge to defeat Cotto in 12 by UD.

    Cotto and by the way real if you want to watch the US olympic basketball team it's on NBC.

    I see Cotto looking very uncomfortable while trying to come inside in attempt to land some hooks and jabs to the head. Thats where Paul will counter Cotto alot. I also think Paul has the power and of course he has the size to backdown Cotto in this fight, and I'm far from thinking Cotto can box and beat bigger, stronger opponents.

    i see williams winnin this by unanimous decision- i just dont see cotto ever bein the same after what margo did to him

    Williams pulling it off in final rounds. Or Cotto works on his stamina and we got war till the end :D

    if PW fights the same way he fought margo he'll win a ud, but if fights like the 1st quintana fight it will be tougher 4 PW on the inside. if the margo fight was a 15 rounder like back in the day it could've got hairy. cotto's a beast with the left hook to the body and there's alot of body to hit. it would be a nice matchup.

    Cotto can't afford a another "beatdown" for awhile.

    He needs to be matched up with someone his own size (and not left handed either)

    Clottey is kinda slow...so Cotto would "get there first".....but if Cotto's stuff just bounces of Clottey....then Cotto's in trouble.

    Cotto will be back and stronger than ever, I believe the fight with Margo has teached him a valuable lesson that can also be compared as what Margo learned vs Williams. We will see now a much improve Cotto in his stamina and what he is at best, his body punches... If he forgets about PW's head for the first 3 rounds and just concentrate in his body and then to the head, Cotto will win by UD or KO.

    PW wil have to keep Cotto at the end of his punches for the distance and I don't think he has that kind of foot work and defense.

    But PW will get lots of points because he'll contstantly be catching Cotto when Cotto is coming in

    Not sure about that... :think If Cotto come in very low just under his pounches like Mike Tyson just to do he might be able to get in without getting hit in a full flush, PW will have to throw an upercut so low that might be a little to strange for him to do... Plus I believe that Cotto has better reflexes than Williams....

    Anyway, it'l be an interesting match. and one more point, I don't think that PW can take what Cotto landed to Margo. PW doesn't have that kind of chin...
