Cotto wants a Margarito rematch

true, he should fight berto november then hopefully fight margacheeto next year

 

Cotto is a true warrior. Paul Williams should be busy fighting the rubber match with Quintana.

 

I feel that his punch resistance will be pretty poor now, thats just my opinion though. In his last 3 fights alone he's taken several huge shots from Cintron, Cotto and Mosley and you can't stay up taking them forever.

 

AM isn't exactly a fresh fighter himself. Even with the layoff, he is on the downside of his career. Even though he beat Cotto, he took a lot of punishment. Prior to that he took on Mosley, Williams, Cintron X2, Clottey, Santos, and a few B-level fighters.

All that said, something seems to be missing from Cotto. In some spots he looked o.k., but something just wasn't right. Can't put my finger on it, but it also may have been Clottey's peek-a-boo style that made Cotto look a little off. Plus, when Clottey was pressuring, Cotto seemed to be wilting under the pressure. He was lucky Clottey didn't keep it up.

 

Clottey just the beat the **** outta Cotto.

 

As we have learned in the past ... an emotionally motivated fighter is the worst one to fight. Because they have more than money or belt aspirations driving them. AM is publicly being called a cheater and that he's cheated in the past ........... IF that accusation is in reality false, then AM will do everything in his power to crucify his next opponent. To show without a doubt that loaded gloves were never needed.

Looking at Cotto last night, he would get KO'd again if he fought Margo again. He doesn't have the chin, the speed, or strength to do to Margo what Shane did to him.

Instead of trying to rematch Margo he needs to fight Clottey again or fight Paul Williams. Hell Shane is out there too.

 

Clottey won the fight last night. 116 111 for Cotto? CRAZY!

 

I think Margarito is done. Whether the Cotto fight or losing his plaster casts did it, I don't know, but he sure did not look like Margarito while getting his ass whipped by Mosely.

That being said, I think he should be banned from boxing anyway.

 

Cotto wants Margarito again after what Mosley did to him? It's bad enough Cotto had overwhelming difficulty with such a slow and clunky shopworn version of Margarito - now he wants to face the crumpled wreck that got obliterated in his last fight.. Cotto should look elsewhere.

 

Margarito has been in steady decline for an extended period. In Cintron II he looked, literally, like he was in slow motion. HBO uses a variable replay speed with faster, normal speed fighters that looks about as fast as Margarito's fists in that fight.

 

The only fight Cotto should make is against Berto, that is the only guy in the division with a name he can beat. Arum is probably going to throw his ass to the wolves and make him drain down to fight Manny.

 

It dont matter that Margarito is a style nightmare. Cotto wants vengance. It would be nice if he kicked his ass.
