let's take margarito as an example then. margo lost against santos for a version of the title at 154. came straight back down to his natural weight. never gets any flack for it. and yet ricky does. :huh
luis collazo. a guy that just gave one of the best young prospects in world boxing a damn tough fight. :deal
Shanes come back to 47. DLH did too. Judah is also coming back to 140 albeit slowly after fighting Clottey and Johnson at 143 or thereabouts. Those guys moved up to face greater challenges. Stop making excuses.
So much so that no one knew he who was until he fought Hatton. Seriously do you believe the crap you write? I like Collazo. He`s a tough kid but lets keep this in a healthy perspective. Even Berto beat Collazo better than Hatton did.
alright so berto beat him better did he. american tv had collazo winning. so did the majority of fans. american and british tv had hatton winning. :yep and the fan opinion was vastly split. the general consensus being the knockdown for hatton shaded it.
When Margo fought Santos all them years back the world barely even knew he existed. The hype train did VERY well promoting Ricky. So much so that the M.E.N was packed routinely to watch Ricky in "World Class" action vs some tin can. The guy could have taken a **** in the M.E.N and the fans would have lapped it up willingly. Ricky and Warren thrust themselves into the limelight with this PR crap for 500k a time. Margarito was just trying to break bread.
Yup for £10m and PPV proceeds as well as the live gate id let PBF beat me up with my hands behind my back. Well done Ricky you fooled another one. Risk/reward my friend. Ricky was making millions at the M.E.N defending the WBU. Il let you do the maths hmkay pumpkin. :thumbsup
big excuse ready and waiting for me now look. ffs i don't want an essay. margo went up in weight and failed. what more do u want. :|
and i suppose judah wasn't getting well paid for fighting spinks twice and mayweather and cotto. :smooch
Very correct he WASNT! :thumbsup Well not against Spinks anyway.. And he hasnt a made a fraction of the money Hatton has who has fought lesser opponents.
