    By a damn Yuri Foreman.

    MARK MY WORDS.

Cotto is so damaged. And I've been saying this way before the Pac fight.
I have been watching him since Jr WW where his speed and accuracy and ferocious combonation punching was a thing of beauty. Then he moved up and I started to see a transformation in his style. He started to get sluggish and methodical. He started fighting just like Urango. Its almost robotic. Just rewatch the Pinto fight or any of his first 13 fights. Amazing. Now we have a robot who gets caught flush on the chin every fight and goes do or die with every opponent. What happened Cotto. Where did it go wrong ?????

PS: Yuri sucks. Yuri "Danny Greene" Foreman

Yeah I've been saying for months that he should retire. There's no point to his latest venture. He's too short to fight as a JMW with the current crop of talent in that division.

i see what you guys are saying and i don't think his skill set will transfer up to 154...but he did look good early on in both his losses before being broken down. i really don't see yuri foreman being able to break cotto down. foreman is a poster child for feather fists and while he is a slippery ****, i also think he is the "safest" guy at 154 for cotto. doesnt mean he'll win but he's got a good shot.

and also, to the retirement point, if the man wants to go out swinging in a title fight in yankee stadium in front of a packed house of puerto ricans then i think he's earned it. win or lose.

Hes my favorite fighter but hes def not the same (and many trainers and fighters will say the same thing so its not a 1 mans opinion type suggestion) but i still think hes good enough to beat Foreman.... we will see.

Yuri, if it's any consolation to Cotto and fans, isn't that great. I would bet Cotto to win against him or a few of the other SWWs ie. Spinks, Ishida, Angulo. 154 isn't that great really, except for Martinez and Dzindziruk, which I see would beat the heck out of Cotto.

He absoloutly deserves to fight wherever and whenever he wants. That he has earned. But he doesnt fit in WW let alone JR MW. I dont think he deserves to be outpointed and probably embarrased by a lesser fighter like Yuri. Smart for Yuri but stupid for Cotto. This is what Arum does to a fighter who isnt worth much more to him soon. Puts him in a high risk low reward fight like this that quite frankly no one is interested in except Purto Ricans and died hard fans.

Spinks would spank him bad. Really bad. And I would not want him in the ring with a bigger Margarito in Angulo. Dont even know who Ishida is. Alexander would spank him and he possibly could out box Urango.

I think Cotto still has enough in the tank but as one of his fans I hope he retires with his health. I can't see him doing anything else despite gaining a win/loss over Foreman so he really needs to consider hanging them up his best years are behind him.

He is fighting world class now at higher weight, not Pinto. I do believe that he is past his prime. The difference is also the approach in his fights. Cotto is best in the early rounds. In his early fights his goal was to bomb out the opponent as fast as possible. Nowadays, because he stepped up in competition, his goal is to box early and not waste his energy. Against Yuri Foreman he should go to his early days and just bomb him out early and stop him.

Same here. I've noticed he's abandoned, or at the very least decreased, the devastating body attack he used to employ. And it's been like that for a while now. Since the Mosley fight, it seems he isn't as willing to pressure guys like he used to.

I absolutely agree that Foreman is the safest pick for Cotto at this weight. What next? What's left to prove?

And with his flawed style that , through bad decisions in hiring cornerman,he refuses to correct. Im confident that Steward will put together a game plan that as long as Foreman executes, will make it look easy.

I'm sure he will suprise people.

He lost to a guy who, in all probability, had loaded gloves and a true ATG. there's nothing to be ashamed of there. I know his recent form isn't great but his recent opponents are all extremely tough fighters. Cotto still looks very good physically and if he can find a fresh bit of form, I see no reason why he can't get back to the very top. His problems now are mental - He has now tasted defeat, which ruined his confidence, and he's no longer got a good strategist in his corner.

Don't rule him out yet. There is still a tremendous fighter in his heart. He just needs to find that fighter inside of him once again.

he's got nothing left to prove. he had actually said in an interview before the pac fight that he wasnt going to stick around longer than he needed too. i think if he beats foreman, arum will try and set up a fight w/ williams (been predicting this and i'm sticking too it)...but he very well may want one last hurrah for the title at yankee stadium in front of his people
