According to Primerahora, Miguel Cotto is taking the idea of his late father and is building a gym with a capacity of 1,500 people. The gym will offer advanced studies and tutoring to those pugilists that either have problems or where not able to finish school, while providing kids and teens the ability to train in the boxing facility. The gym will also serve as a venue for local amateur and professional cards. Cotto met with the Caguas Mayor (its a city here in PR) to see if he can get the land to build the gym and the mayor took the proposal and will help out. This is absolutely outstanding on Cotto's part. Giving back to the community while honoring his father in the process. Here in PR we need more projects like this, as crime is taking over our youth and lifestyle.
