Cotto will fight Berto according to El Nuevo Dia

If Berto can definitively DEFEAT Collazo and then beat the Judah-Quintana winner, or the other way around, then I think he'll be ready and worthy to fight Cotto. Otherwise I think Berto's handlers should keep him away from any of the elite welters.

Berto should be able to get by Quintana or Judah, then maybe beat Cotto if he's trained properly. It would be a hell of a fight.

 

I think Quintana beats Berto. Carlos is slick like Luis Collazo, but with more pop on his punches. I would pick CQ over Judah as well. HOwever, I think Zab is eyeing the 140 div right now.

 

I'll go with Cotto over everybody in the division right now.

i dont know what this guys thinking, Cotto would destroy him, he needs to learn alot before he even thinks about fighting Cotto, get yourself a new trainer first Berto, then go from there

 

It'll be a nice win if Cotto's the first one to hand him a loss...Berto will learn greatly from his ass whoopin' and come back to make a nice name for himself...It'll be criticized at first, but gradually look better afterwards.

but idk if zab can ever regain his championship mentality he had when he was undefeated...

 

This is a pretty good fight imo. If Berto loses then he can fight a rematch with Collazo to try and get himself right back in the picture. If Berto wins, then he is a top contender in the division, and I'm sure there will still be a chance back to the top for Cotto.

Zab was always mentally weak, the Zab you saw that beat Spinks is the same Zab that lost to Clottey, but Zab was motivated when he fought Clottey.

If Zab is motivated he'll beat Quintana. All Zab needs is a new trainer, because his dad sucks. Zab wins fights primarly on his boxing ability. Just imagine if he had a trainer that teaches him better defense, better offense, how to counter-punch better, good ring advince, be more discplined etc, Zab would be a force to recken with. And Zab did have that type of trainer working for him (Floyd Mayweather Sr.) for the canceled Mosley fight.
