I can see people saying htey think Cotto will win, but there aint no way Cotto wil KO Mosley. Bet on it.
I'm pretty much with you on this one. I mean...it's possible (obviosuly) but I highly doubt it. I honestly think this one is going the distance. If Cotto does KO Mosley....holy crap- that would be damn impressive.
that uppercut he caught from vernon forrest in their first fight nearly decapitated him and he still finished the fight. only way this happens at all is if its a direct liver shot.
It's 12-3 minutes rounds or 36 minutes where every second counts, and with Miguel Cotto stalking and opening up to land bombs on Shane, it's equally likely that one will get floored... However, remember this is no eliminator and the winner probably gets a bigger payday next against the winner of Dec 8th matchup, so I believe that the survival/cautious instict will top the killing instict in both... Shane knows that Cotto cannot be floored easily and runs into danger opening up, Cotto knows deep down that he can't walk in like that against Shane. But I would not bet that it goes 12 fo'sure either.
Brutal body work with the Judah precedent - don't bank on it. The one thing that may catch up with Shane is that beyond that mark, his legs may not be able to make him get away from jams, but Cotto had a much tougher fight in June ( Shane in February) so I wouldn't be surprised if Cotto's work-rate starts to drop slightly from round 6 on.
I have no idea who is going to win this one. I'll be routing for Cotto, but one should NEVER count Shane out. A younger version of Shane would beat Cotto, but Father Time is even more relentless than Miguel, so I won't even try to predict an outcome. Boo
:think hum interesting but wen has cottos work rate drop after middle rounds it seems as he goes he gets stronger it seems an advantage for cotto right? hey my girlfriend is from portugal . big ups..:good
In his only title fight that went 12, he didn't punch as much from round 6 on against Paulie Malignaggi. Paulie won round 6 in my book and hit Cotto with 6 solid punches ( one-two, one-two, one-two) and staggered Miguel with a right hook in round 8, Paulie jabbed all the way through and Cotto responded with counter-hooks from defensive mode in round 10, just that Cotto broke in again in round 12 but Paulie held on. Paulie knocked-down 1:50s round 2 and with a swelling ( broken jaw) in the 6th - checked by physician before round 8, had a bloody nose and his face a mess in the 12th. The scores were 115-112 (Don Trella), 116-111 (Peter Trematera, Glen Feldman). 37 year old Oktay Urkal never hit the deck, won round 7 ( lost all the first 4 rounds officially) but then the head-butt/cut incident happened in the 8th, but Oktay would have made it if it wasn't for the anti-climatic finish (Chief second Uli Wegner took him out of the fight round 11 for a second point taken away). Cotto also paced himself well and dropped activity against NDou ( 12 round non-title fight). Big-ups to you and your gf :hi:
