Lemule has improved quite a bit and Cotto would be severely undersized. I'll back Cotto to win but ultimately I think Lemieux catches Cotto with something big and it's downhill from there. Cotto at this point would have to box a perfect fight to beat him.
It's possible, but my only thing with Cotto is the size disadvantage going into the fight. It's a dangerous fight imo no doubt.
I agree to a point. I am a big Cotto fan, but can he avoid tiring and getting caught for 12? If Lem wasn’t a big guy at 160 with a big punch, I’d take Cotto.
This is a legit fight if it actually gets announced. Lemieux has been punchin like a MOTHER FUUCKER the last few fights. Cotto looks as good as ever under Roach at MW/Jr. MW. Rock solid fight.
Cotto will never fight Lemieux because he knows what I know, Lemieux is too big, hits too hard , and is too young.
Cotto is clearly more skilled. But I think that you are underestimating Lemieux - he's not just a cave man, he's mixed his punches up well lately and goes both to the body and head - and you are underestimating the size, power and youth factors. I expect Cotto to begin well, but Lemieux' power will degrade him progressively as the fight goes on, and my prediction is that the moment Cotto's legs go and his movement slows, goodnight Miguel. Lemieux fights at a more measured pace than in his youth, and his chin seems solid enough. I think he can take Cotto's punches whereas I'm sure the reverse is not true. Huge respect if Cotto takes this at 160 and huge credit to Cotto if he somehow overcomes Lemieux.
#easywork. No credit to Cotto whatsoever for cherry picking bums from the alley to fight. Cotto is a ducker and has a glass heart. It's shameful that he's still scraping the bottom of the barrel for GGG's leftovers ... Really, 22JM, is that really what you think?
You sure do bring a lot of reason and balance. "The Mexican won"-Isal after every close fight a Mexican is in.
