yes, he's broken - scared and with no more will to take further punishment

  3. **** Cotto he's over-rated as hell to begin with, he got a gift decision against Mosley had to go thru hell and high water to beat a head case- can't win a big fight to save my life Judah, and was to short, weak and chinny to beat Margo, i knew he was gonna get his ass kicked i called it back in May., let Cotto go back to his 3rd World Country with that stupid look on his face, the guy had the personality if an ice-cube..

must be hard to take as first loss, but it will show his character now, how great a champion he was if he can come back and beat margo. I thought that may happen last night, didnt think cotto would like margos windmill style. i do hope cotto comes back stronger, brilliant champion, i hope margo goes and takes his career on and trys to get PBF out of retirement.

He looked about as ready as he did in the last Cintron fight.
A B+ fighter with unbelievable heart and will to win = an A fighter!

You never gave Margo an once of a chance going into this fight!

Taking a first loos must be hard. Taking a huge ass whoopin and getting KO must be even harder.

I'm sure he will be back. 100%, I'm not to sure.

Sadly, I think you're probably right.
    Cotto had the right gameplan
and fought to the best of his ability,
    but still it wasn't enough.
Margarito took him into a very dark place tonight,
a place that he will never want to visit again.
Coming back from such a demoralizing defeat
will not be easy at all.

I seriously feel that his confidence
    may be damaged beyond repair.
    I hope i'm wrong though,
because he's still a great fighter
and can beat 99% of the welterweights out there!

Yes and Margarito proved me and many others wrong. I've never been this wrong about a fight after being so confident, but it's bound to happen once in a while. The Margarito that showed up is still what I would call a B+ level fighter.. Cotto was broken by that kind of extremely gutsy, relentless (but still B level) pressure and I'm shocked that he was. Even with the incorrect gameplan, I still expected him to at the very least last the distance when I saw that he was having some problems by the middle rounds. Margarito's will was stronger, much stronger and he deserved the sensational win, plus everything that comes along with it. I'm not trying to take anything away from him by saying that I still think Cotto would beat him in a rematch if he fights a different fight. Margarito was the better man tonight.

A rematch is a bad idea, IMO.
    Margarito would stop him again,
    probably quicker as well.
    Cotto needs a long break
and to get his confidence back
    before he considers getting
back in the ring with Margarito.

However, if he did come back
and beat Margarito in a rematch
He'd deserve a ton of credit!

Much like you, I just don't see that happening.
By percentage, I see Margarito winning at least 8 out of 10 fights........maybe all 10.

    Sorry for off-topic, but:Why is Shane Mosley a *****?
I dont know if Shane was ever in the mix to fight Magarito. May be Shane ducked Magarito in the younger past. But he already took fights he should not have taken styleswise. And if someone displayed heart in a fight it was Shane vs. Forrest in their first fight. In his late stage of his career I think it was a clever move not to fight Magarito. I dont think Mosley deserves to be called a *****.

Mosley ducked Margarito after the Cruz fight. He said he wasn't ready. That was a couple years ago.
