cotto will suprise alot people on september 17

I don't think Cotto can go the full 12 without giving in to Margarito's relentless pressure.

No matter how well he starts it'll eventually get to the stage were Margo's right on top of him, throwing 80, 90, 100 punches a round.

Margarito's got Cotto's number IMO. He beats him 9 times out of 10, Steward or no Steward.

 

IMO cotto def wins this fight by late stoppage. W/o cement gloves m argocheato has proven to be quite average. Cotto will have more motivation than ever, plus cotto has improved his jab and ring generalship under steward's advice.

 

Well you and Saul made good points. It's true that Margo has a bad style for Cotto so I'm not putting my money on Cotto. But Cotto made a very big mistake in the first fight to head hunt Margo. Mosley didn't repeat that mistake and first punished the Tornado to the body. I think that in the rematch Cotto will go to the body more. Let's see who has more left they both took hard beatings.

I think with Cotto trained by Manny now, Margo without cement for fists... we may see a Cotto win. Tony is still a tough fighter though and has the ability to beat Cotto again, although if he does win it wont be as one sided as the first fght.

 

Rather Margarito had cement fists for the first fight or not is unproven. Are you telling me the only team to watch him wrap his hands ever was Mosleys? The fricking guy is a relentless puncher, a boxer who can box but loves to brawl. He has cotto's number, its just a good match up for him. Just like Cintron. He made Cintron quit the first fight and walked right through all his power taking it all in the second fight just blasting him, Cotto doesn't have enough power to keep him off and can't for 12 rounds. Margo wins again the same way, bad matchup for Cotto.

Only a fool would do the same mistakes, Cotto will take punches BUT will move around alot more and utilize that Jab

It wont be easy, but will be a 12 round boring decision

I really hope so, but I felt that a few times he got a gift in Mayorga being so far over the hill he didn't keep attacking and following. Many sequences Cotto was not throwing shots while Mayorga was in combo, but letting him punch himself out. That won't happen with Margo.
