Don't think he will KO FMJ but he has a decent chance to bully and outbox/work FMJ. Until the later rounds that is when cotto will gas

Cotto has little to no chance. He is going to look slow as sh*t next to Floyd. The best he can do is work the body the whole fight, cause he ain't going to be punching Floyd in the face all that often.

Cotto will be dominated, not enough speed, defense, or skill to handle Floyd.

Cotto has proven that to beat him you must almost kill him, Margarito cheated and had to really pound him hard for Cotto to take a knee even with the plaster he couldn't drop him, Pacquiao beat him at a lower weight and Cotto took a knee also he didn't get knocked out.
My point, I respect Floyds speed but I don't believe he has the power to knock him down or have him take a knee especially at 154lb.
Cotto is warrior not that Floyd is not a warrior but Cotto knows what it is to get pounded Floyd doesn't, YET.

I'm still on the fence with this fight and my anxiety levels are through the roof. I still lean towards Floyd and in all likely hood he may just put on a show. I can't help but think Cotto will be on his "A" game and he will represent himself with pride and pull through a couple rounds. Cotto is surely being underestimated here and you won't see the same desperation that Ortiz showed and you won't see the confusion that Mosely showed. Its going to be a hell of a fight.

If he can somehow nuetralize Floyds right hand he will (at times) give just as much as he takes in this bout. If the game plan involves moving towards Floyds right to expose his body move in to nullify the power and accuracy of his right Cotto and land some left hands. Remember Floyd has the most technically sound right hand Cotto has seen since Randell Bailey and Mosely (Just my opinion) and he did a decent job at not getting tagged off guard with those debilitating rights and he can impliment the same game plan

I think a lot of people are both under estimating Cotto and over estimating Mayweather. I think Floyd will be pushed a lot in this fight and will have to dig deep at times. I give Cotto a good chance of winning, but still favor Mayweather by decision. In the end, I think Cotto will give a very good showing and his stock will rise some more in this fight, possibly leading to a rematch. I really can't wait for this one!

As much as I like cotto, I just can't see him pulling this one off. Don't get me wrong would love to see it happen, but its boxing. I don't like Floyd outside the ring but inside there is no denying the mans skill.

This fight hinges on Mayweather. Is he still near the top of his game? Wil the weight affect him much? Will the relative inactivity hurt him? If he's still near the top of his game, Cotto will take another loss. Cotto is a good fighter, but he simply doesn't match up well with Mayweather. He cannot outbox Mayweather, and if he tries to pressure Mayweather, he's going to get knocked out.

Its intresting to see some of the comments, Cotto has never been in a fight where he has dished out nothing relevant. I understand Floyd is by far the most skilled athlete Cotto has ever faced, mind you I mentioned "skilled" athelete since I find Pac and Mosely to be more advanced atheletes (physically). At this point in Floyds career he is much less active in the ring his movements and energy usage is much more calculated and he will allow a thinking fighter like Cotto to study and measure in his own right. I'm going to enjoy this fight and I think you will as well.....its unfortuate but a good majority of posters here shouldnt even tune in since they cleary know the outcome of the bout.

    Sup Reg!

I've alwasy told you if this fight happens it would be a good one....I'm sticking to my guns on this, but I've also always said Floyd will be victorious and I have not changed that prediction.

i think this comes down to cotto's left to the body vs. floyd's uppercut...can cotto can get to floyd's body w/o getting turned into a puffy faced bobble head?
