Cotto is susceptible to right hand leads, I really think he's in trouble with Floyd.

I think his best chances are his left hooks to the body, but he'll pay a price for throwing punches like that, and I think Floyd will stop him.

Cotto is in for a schooling in this fight. No slow short armed one handed fighter with suspect stamina will ever beat pbf:deal

Floyd will be walking Cotto down in this fight, I expect Cotto to stand there like Mosley did only Cotto may be a little more aggressive than Shane was.

Well Floyd is literally going to have go for broke on those right hands if he plans on stopping Cotto with it. I'm pretty sure the blue print will include a write up on how to at least attempt the nuetralization of the right hand. Defensively speaking I beleive Cotto has better tools than Sugar, Zab and Ortiz and while Floyd was able to land the right hand he did not overwhlem either guy with the right it was used economicaly.

LOL! maybe its just wishful thinking :yep

Shane tends to fall into these moments of brain freeze and when that happened against Cotto in or around the 5th Cotto would unleash a combo and circle out when it happend against Floyd nothing really changed Floyd basically kept it according to plan. Cotto is a mush more effective fighter on the back foot when compared to Mosely....I doubt Floyd will be walking down Cotto though his surely can if he wanted to.

Some posters on ESB must think Floyd is invincible. Actually some posters might even be on the so called money team! According to some of these posts, Floyd should just retire and not even fight anymore because he will destroy whoever he faces.

Some people need to realize, upsets do happen in sports, including boxing. Thats why some of us watch. I must punctuate upset, because thats what it would be in this case if Cotto won. Floyd is clearly the favorite, there is no secret or science in saying Floyd will win or even dominate.

Yes, Floyd beating Cotto is the smart bet. However; Floyd's inactivity, ability @154, (speed & reflexes) and age should not be overlooked. Cotto's experience, style matchups, excellent jab, brilliant timing, and resiliance should not be overlooked.

Are these factors enough to overcome Floyd's boxing skill and ring I.Q. that is undoubtebly the best in the sport? Maybe not. But really, think about it, a lot stranger things have happened.
Giving a fighter of Cotto's caliber zero chance of winning is a discredit to not only Cotto, but Floyd himself. This is a tough fight and I give Floyd and Cotto a lot of credit for making it. I have this about a 60/40 fight in favor of Floyd. And if I'm wrong and Cotto gets destroyed, oh well at least I gave both men the credit they deserve.

This fight will be very one sided.. Facts are Cotto gets hit way too much and has questionable stamina. For Cotto to win he has to get in Floyd's face from the first second of round one, make it a 7 or 8 round war and pray to come out on top. I think Cotto is the better combination puncher and has fought better competition then Floyd, but realistically he has no chance of winning a 12 round boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Preach it brother! Every fighter has a chance. Floyd might be the best, but he's not facing a bum on May 5th.

I personally predict a 8 -10 rd stoppage for Floyd. I see him bringing tthe fight to Cotto on the inside to take way cottos jab. Then eventually Cotto will start to protect his body and thats when we see Coto's face begin to get bruised by not just straight rights but I think Floyd will put combos together like he did at the beginning of rd 4 against Ortiz and Hatton.

Miguel, however, is the only fighter that I wouldn't mind giving Floyd his first loss (along w/ L. Peterson)

Cotto has proven to box well against other boxers, but against Mayweather I dont see him pulling off the win by outboxing him. Cotto indeed will have to make this a very tough and physical fight and keep it mostly on the inside.
Cotto will have to throw punches and land on Floyd anywhere on Floyd that he can. Cotto is very a very physically strong fighter, but Floyd seems to have bulked up as of lately. It will be interesting to see who is the physically stronger fighter?
