He has lost power each time he went up in weight and now bigger gloves as well as harder hitting opponents. He should have enough to beat featherfisted boxer Foreman though.

    Who chose the 10oz gloves?

Is Arum fitting up Cotto to be beaten and make a big name out of Foreman?

Yup 154 pounders use 10 oz glove, welterweights are supposed to use 10 oz also but almost allways agree on 8oz

Blow Foreman up as the next best thing @ 154 then use him as fodder for Pac for another belt

He sure wouldn't care if Cotto lost for that very reason. A win over MC builds up Foreman and makes him money.

When was this rule applied. I remember when Hoya fought Vargas, if they both agreed they could have used 8oz gloves but oscar wanted 10 so they fought with 10.

It should be fighters choice, however even then i suppose that Foreman wouldnt agree to 8.

Hopefully it doesnt effect Cotto too much, just another thing that i dont like about this fight. :-(

Its so obvious Arum is using Cotto to blow Foreman up then use him for a Pac fight in a supposedly 8th weight class title for Pac.

The glove thing is legit though. Even 147 wear 10oz if agreed upon. at 154 its a must.

im sure cotto and arum have heat since arum is buddy buddy with margarito and cotto has animosity for margaritos cheating ways and the fact that he probably did use plaster in his fight vs cotto as cotto has alluded to before

If Cotto can't beat Foreman, that can't be put on Arum setting him up. It's a must-win fight if Cotto is going to continue to be relevant. In fact, Foreman has little power and for that reason is the right fight for Cotto, who has suffered two devastating losses in his career, one which I don't count for obvious reasons - though it undoubtedly scarred him.
