I don't think 2oz. of padding is going to make a difference ... if Cotto's power is evident, then it won't matter if he was wearing 16oz gloves.

Thats just an excuse not to have the home court advantage ... he has a problem with fighting on the west coast because so many fighters have such deep fan bases there.

This is where PBF's comment on him not having a deep fan base outside of NY and PR.

He doesn't even have support of the casual fan and thats most important when building a mega fight ... who's going to be his guest? ... chi chi rodriguez? ... no one knows who he is.

All the top black stars are at the fights supporting Floyd; Jordan, Denzel, Magic, Barkley, Snipes, Mary J. Blidge, Jay-Z, Diddy, Usher, along with a long list of others ... thats who's getting close ups on fight night ... and those are the ones influencing fans to pay $2,500 for a ringside seat.

I don't think as of now Cotto will not bring any fans to an arena ... and have them pay top dollar for ringside seats ... he doesn't have that kinda star power.

Tito did, but not Cotto ...

If Margarito does not agree to 8oz gloves at MSG, AC, or Puerto Rico than the **** the fight! Cotto calls the shots in this fight period.

Its funny how you say that but when it comes to Floyd its a different story.:huh Its also funny how you can only name 3 places where Cotto can fight ... he can't bring fans anywhere else ...

It is understood that if a fight with cotto and mayweather was to be made cotto would have to agree to his terms as well. By ther way I am sure that any where in Florida, possibly Chicago and definately in Las Vegas this Cotto vs. Margo will be a great sucess. He just has no need to make that concesion.

I doubt it ... unless it had an undercard w/ some local talent ... I think the only way that Cotto can generate some success is in PR or NY ...

Margarito doesn't give a **** about traveling ... he went to PR to fight Daniel Santos.

He fought Cintron on his home turf in NJ ...

I tell you this Cotto will not fight in Cali --

You are from Michigan so you should know that PBF cant sell 5,000 tickets in his own home town. DLH and Hatton are the ones responsible for the great sucess of last years events, he should be thanking De La Hoya for making him a real star.

Man Floyd sold out a 13,000 capacity arena the few times he fought here.

so what are you talking about?

So do you think he go used to having the crowd on his side, the gloves and the whole ambiance favour him. This is how he was conditioned. Is he scarred to be taken out of his fighting enviornment?

Unless they give him another Gomez, Cotto would fight anywhere. But against a Margo, he'll only fight in the eastcoast or P.R. at least thats what it seems like. Margo will fight anyone, anywhere, with whatever gloves.

Thats what I figured you were lobbying for, what the historic Olympic Auditorium or the famous Hope Depot center, or maybe the Staples center? **** that, this fight deserves better and it will sell not just on the east coast.

Cotto is going to show more flaws in a fight with Margarito and no matter if he won or not ... he's going to give Floyd something to focus on.

Cotto isn't as polished as Floyd and isn't as skilled ... he hasn't shown anything related to boxing that he could beat Floyd. All people believing that Cotto has a chance, believes that merely on the fact that Cotto is strong.

Nothing that has to do with his boxing skills ... he can box as good as Floyd and thats what its going to come down to. Floyd has more weapons, speed, and accuracy. No to mention his defense !!

These guys are going to have to fight in PR ... neiter fighter has a big fan base and neither fighter can headline a card by themselves ... Cotto proved that he's a WCB type of fighter and hasn't really excelled to the PPV stage. He needed Shane Mosley and Zab Judah for help, before that he was doing 30k fighting Malignaggi on PPV.
Zab Judah (a NY native) played a part in selling out the Garden ...

Margarito has never headlined a venue and probably never will ... both of these guys need help if this fight is going to be on PPV and the undercard has to be spectacular. :good
