I didn't know the attendance was announce during either fight ... and if i'm not mistaken PBF did 350k buys with an unknown Baldomir while ... Cotto had to co-headline a venue with Margarito.

 

these 10oz gloves are alot more bigger than what many people make them out to be.

If he's landing punches, it doesn't make a different about the size ... they spar and train with 12-16oz gloves.

If he's landing I doubt the glove sides will effect the outcome of the fight. Thats what its all about ...:good

If I'm not mistaking, PBF also fought Sharmba Mitchell in Bum****, Oregon on regular HBO after fighting Gatti on PPV, in front of 7,000 fans.

The boardwalk was sold out when he fought Gatti - it sold out in a day.

 

7,000 fans in a very small boxing market is good ... Cotto couldn't do that ... and the fact that he was able to get than many fans says alot, especially against Sharmba Mitchell. Michael Jordan and Phil Knight were present when he fought.

It was Gatti's home turf and Floyd took him out on his home turf ... something that Cotto has never done ... Floyd also beat a reigning champion for his title, unlike fighting for a vacant belt.

A champion is going to fight hard to retain his belt ... Cotto has never experienced that.

You make it seem like Gatti was the man to beat at 140. There's a reason why Max Kellerman said before the fight it was "the biggest PPV mismatch since Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson." Gatti was a beaten man before he even entered the ring, evidenced by him getting startled by the explosion during his ring entrance. Nobody gave Gatti a chance in that fight, and the ones who did were simply wishfully thinking. Him holding a belt wasn't gonna do anything to increase his chances in that fight.
