Martinez just embarrasses Cotto. I wouldn't want to see it.

Can't see nothing other than Cotto getting beat down in this match up. Gotta respect his desire to make the fight though.

Cotto is a shell of his former 140-147 self. Martinez would walk through him.

 gotta give it to him, the guy has balls. either he wants to leave no fights undone after he retires or the guy has gotten hit too much though, Martinez is probably sitting at home with a huge smile in his face

Why wouldn't he? Junito's been a moneymaker since long before anyone outside of Spain knew who Maravilla was.

first we complain that the elite dont fight the elite but when a boxer wants to step it up hes doing the wrong thing? yes hes not the best but who else is out there for Martinez to fight anyways?

Nothing wrong with seeing my 2 favorite fighters go at it. People complain about cherry picking and they also complain about fighters going for the toughest challenge possible. If Cotto wants to fight the best, let him be

Fight the best in their own divisions or don't fight them at all. While it's obvious Cotto made a career fighting the best over and over, a catchweight for this one is unnecessary. He could just fight him at middleweight or pick any other opponent at jr. middle.

Once again Cotto shows why I love him: his desire to consistently face the best. It also comes shows why I wish he would retire: he's setting himself up for a loss.

If he wants a soft touch, exit fight or two he's earned it.
