that's what a lot of people say before the hatton fight, just one good body punch and pac will go down. look how that turn out.

if they were to fight at 143-144, pac probably win by decision. cotto look slow in the clottey fight

Hatton was finished. His fight with Lazcano proved that.

yea right finish lol. After hatton beat malignaggi who at the time rank # 2 jr welterweight , everybody was praising hatton and floyd sr for helping hatton improve. Even before the fight with manny many pick hatton to win saying he is too strong for pacman and he is not weight drained etc etc. Now all of a sudden he is finished:patsch:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Same here, Cotto is a fair bit bigger, that might eliminate the fact that Pac is a better fighter.

Manny's speed and footwork combined with the teams in and out game plan will pose big problems for Cotto. I don't think Miguel's defense is quite good enough to keep Pac off him. Manny throws accurate shots with good enough pop to kill someones confidence and hurt over time given it lands enough, and going by the numbers, Pacquiao hits at a high percentage . I honestly don't see anything Cotto has shown lately to say those number would go down too much either.

It also depends on how well Pac can handle the shots that Cotto does wind up landing because he will land. That's one of the things that keeps the Manny Pacquiao story so intriguing while he fights the big boys, he's been too good for his own good, the question about his punch resistance still remains unanswered :silly

I won't be shocked if Cotto finds a way to take this but I'm definitely liking Manny's chances a whole lot more nowadays.

Btw, I was at MSG last night for the fight. What a great time :bbb

His next fight v Malignaggi might suggest otherwise tho, Pacquiao deserves full credit, he was sharp as a razor like Joe Frazier :smoke

Paulie was vastly overrated. He couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag. That's why Hatton wanted to fight him so bad: Fairly big American name with absolutely no power = win win.

Infact Malignaggi had looked borderline terrible in his last fight anyway before the disgraceful Hatton performance he put on.

INACTIVE, JOURNEYMAN, OLD Lazcano had Hatton BADLY HURT in two rounds. The corrupt refeering bought Hatton vital time.

Don't forget his wins over a shot Morales, a shot Barrera and a "punch bag" (whatever the **** that is) Marquez. Let's just say he annihilates Clottey, Quintana, Mosley, Cotto & Margarito in that order. Would it be safe to say that those guys were shot, weight drained, cherry picked fighters? C'mon guy, lay off the HaterAde!

Barerra, Morales, Marquez << Cotto, Mosely etc

Because it was at lighter weights. P4P obviously there is debate but Pacman beating Barerra and co at 126-130 means **** when you go up against the big boys.
