No. Cotto/GGG. He sat on the belt for a year, and now he just beat a guy coming off a bad KO loss to GGG. Ok he had his voluntary defense, man the **** up and face GGG. **** like this is killing the sport. Don't care about no Mexican/PR BS, when you have a belt you are obligated to fight the best. End of discussion.

I had it pretty 50/50 based on Geale's past performances, but tonight what I've seen of him in the past definitely wasn't there for whatever reason and there were two different levels of fighters in the ring. Cotto was A+, Geale was C.

    Great win by Cotto.

Cotto is B+, Geale was C. Cotto hasn't proven he can beat the elites: Mayweather, Pacquiao, GGG

As a whole definitely, but his individual performance tonight was definitely good. A lot of snap, speed and power there.

I want to see him step up his game at MW or vacate already now.

Nope. Last I checked Cotto was carrying MW titles, his opponents just need to make the MW limit, that's it.

    That interview afterwards

Max: "do you want to fight GGG?"
Cotto: "*long pause* uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, why not?"

This is pretty much how I feel.

He looked great tonight but Cotto always looks good vs fighters B- and below.

He essentially blew away a super middleweight tonight. Geale was 20-25 lbs bigger than him. He should have been able to absorb more than he did. Or, perhaps Cotto is better than people give him credit for?

I am not a big Cotto fan by any means, but he was top notch tonight and would make for a good fight against Canelo or GGG in my opinion. Not saying he would win but I def think he would have a shot against Canelo.

Some of you guys are out of your mind. Cotto is clearly an A level fighter. The guy is a 4 division champion.

yeah wanna say congrats to Cotto on his best win in 7.5 years. WAY TO GO CHAMP!!!!

But I would hardly call it a win because the fight was defintely FIXED.
